Does taking medicine violate fasting?

Per Quranic Guidance, does taking medicine violate a fast? Is taking medicine the same as eating and drinking?

Salam,
2183 O you who believe, fasting has been decreed for you as it was decreed for those before you, perhaps you may be righteous.
2184 A few number of days; however, if any of you is ill or traveling, then the same number from different days; and as for those who can do so but with difficulty, they may redeem by feeding the needy. And whoever does good voluntarily, then it is better for him. And if you fast it is better for you if only you knew.
2185 A month of aspiration, in which the Qur'an was revealed; as a guide to the people and clarities from the guidance and the Criterion. Therefore, whoever of you witnesses the month, then let him fast therein. And whoever is ill or traveling, then the same number from different days. God wants to bring you ease and not to bring you hardship; and so that you may complete the count, and glorify God for what He has guided you, that you may be thankful.
What I can see from it is, if my medicine is something for which I do not have to eat(food) or drink(fluids like water,coke,etc) I would still consider that as fasting. But if my medications are such that I have to take the pills with glass of water, Allah gave me the permission to chose other systems due to my illness Glory to Allah !!

If its shooting insulin under your skins, i dont see how one can count that as eating or drinking. Its more like having a massage to ease of muscle pain or something, it doesn't go against your fast(you are not drinking/eating). As far as I know about diabetic patients (purely from first hand observation), I see the patients eating something before they inject the insulin. Do you have to do that too ? If not, all should be ok as far as I understand.

God is not barbaric to place hardship on his servants. If you are unable to fast because you have to take medication then it is not a problem with God. Fasting is only prescribed to those who have the means to do it.

2185 The month of Ramadan, in which the Quran was sent down as a guide to the people and a clarification of the guidance and the criterion. If the person is ill God allows the person to do the fast on separate days. If he or she is unable to do so then that person should may feed the needy. Religious duties are not meant to put hardship on God's followers nor are they meant for God. They are meant for us so that God will distinguish those who are best in following his deen.
Regarding your question whether or not medicine violates a fast I believe that the answer to that is obvious. If one is ill one needs medicine. According to the Quran the ill are not forced to fast. So those who are ill it really shouldn't matter whether you fast or not, God has given you another means to redeem yourself(feeding the needy, doing good voluntarily, or fast on separate days).
