Questions on some verses from the Quran.
-
None of your answers have been sufficient and many of the questions have remained unanswered. Dont you hadith rejectors always try to use Surah al-Nahl Ayah 89 as a proof against the Sunnah? Your just adding your own words to try to explain these verses, either way im still waiting for sufficient responses to my questions? and here is another question just for kicks, lol.
"Perish the two hands of Ab? Lahab and perish he!" (1111)
Who is Abu Lahab and why is Allah saying "perish he"?

Peace Mujaahid,
This is not a forum for "kicks" and if you continue to post to amuse yourself than you shall be promptly banned from posting here again. Regarding "abu lahab" in chapter 111, I believe it to be the character of those who are condemned due to thier belief in their power in this world based on the material gains (which have no benefit for them) they have procured and that those who support them in their devious endeavors will only trap themselves for the chastisement. So let's not post here on important issues for kicks.

Sounds like you're expecting extra info from the hadiths to explain the quran verses...

I have some questions regarding some verses in the Quran please anyone answer them if you can.The assumption "if you can" above is that we can?t so no answers will suffice.
Continuing from $160 portrait above?
"Thus We have made you a Wasat (just) (and the best) nation, that you be witnesses over mankind." (2143)
What does this mean "that you be witnesses over mankind."? Please explain.
O you who believe! Stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to Allah, even though it be against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, be he rich or poor, Allah is a Better Protector to both (than you). So follow not the lusts (of your hearts), lest you may avoid justice, and if you distort your witness or refuse to give it, verily, Allah is Ever Well Acquainted with what you do.
(Chapter #4, Verse #135)The laws of inheritance have been layed out in the Quran but are we suppost to leave inheritance to disbelievers and can we inherit from disbelievers? Please Explain.
Asking so many questions it?s only cordial to answer a few as well...
If a man dies, who decides if he and which relatives are believers?
InheritorsMother; Brother; Sister ? which verse to use, 412 or 4176? Please explain.
412?and if (he) was/is a man to be inherited without a child or father or a woman (wife), and for him (is) a brother, or a sister, so for each one from them (B) the sixth?
4176?and if they were brothers (siblings) men and women, so to the male equal/alike (the) share (of) the two females, God clarifies for you that (E) you (not) be misguided, and God is with everything knowledgeable.
Or solve the distribution of $1 and teach us the forgotten wisdom of Al-Faraid.
Peace

Wow 235 views and it seems you are all still befuddled at my questions I thought you "Quran aloners" have knowledge of the book you claim that you honor. rotfl (yeah thats my expression right now).
Your deluded. Just because 235 views have been made doesn't mean we're befuddled. If your opening post and further posts were honest and truthful in seeking knowledge and debating maybe you would have gotten more replies. But in the meantime keep showing your ignorant attitude and living deluded.

Most of your questions were easily answered; gather yourself from bemusement and read the thread.
Still waiting to answers to simple question above.

I did read the thread and you all didnt answer any of my questions. I suggest you look over the thread again and get your mind right.
Obviously you can?t read or refuse to read and conveniently skip questions posted to you.

I wanted to make a thread called "Meaning of verses in the Quran", but I was sure something like that has been made already.
So...I want to know if the following means what I think they mean.
I will end with the verse 2222 (lol) that the 4 (5 including RK) English translators make pretty unclear when it comes to the issue of what's allowed in sex.
First verse is 3030 (lol numbers) and in all translations it says there shall be no change in God's religion. Here's RK's Therefore, you shall devote yourself to the religion of strict monotheism. Such is the natural instinct placed into the people by GOD. Such creation of GOD will never change. This is the perfect religion, but most people do not know.
Anyway, some hadithist trying to prove shaving the beard is haram because it "alters Allah's creation" (while claiming at the same time trimming the mustache, and shaving pubic and axillary hair, isn't) while also saying it "alters" because it's imitating the female (thinking at the same time growing out your hair and removing bodily hair isn't. Notice any fallacies so far?) used this verse to support his claim. Anyway, it's not only RK's translation that seems to be saying changing God's creation (in terms of RELIGION) is the bad thing. So, what the hell does trimming hair have to do with religion? You guessed it, none, while hadith books say the prophet cursed the woman who plucks her eyebrows (even when her thick eyebrows make her look like a man, hence imitation of the opposite sex?) You see what kind of stupid*** logic arises when you use hadith for your religion? Add sexism to the picture and you get "it's permissable if she's married and her husband tells her to do it so he can get the best possible orgasm." rotfl
Next verse, 56, talks about when bathing is required. Half say this means after having intercourse, and the others, including RK, say after discharge...which one is it? Does discharge apply even when there isn't a woman, or a human being around you?
RK's O you who believe, when you observe the Contact Prayers (Salat), you shall (1) wash your faces, (2) wash your arms to the elbows, (3) wipe your heads, and (4) wash your feet to the ankles. If you were unclean due to sexual orgasm, you shall bathe. If you are ill, or traveling, or had any digestive excretion (urinary, fecal, or gas), or had (sexual) contact with the women, and you cannot find water, you shall observe the dry ablution (Tayammum) by touching clean dry soil, then rubbing your faces and hands. GOD does not wish to make the religion difficult for you; He wishes to cleanse you and to perfect His blessing upon you, that you may be appreciative.
I guess a better question is what is the definition of "jannabat" but you know good as hell that I'm not googling this. hadith results...shivers. So tell me what you guys think. I really, honestly think it's referring to sex, and something like masturbation is simply not sex. Moving on.
As promised, here is the final verse (2222) that the 5 translators put big question marks on.
Khan's version They ask you concerning menstruation. Say that is an Adha (a harmful thing for a husband to have a sexual intercourse with his wife while she is having her menses), therefore keep away from women during menses and go not unto them till they are purified (from menses and have taken a bath). And when they have purified themselves, then go in unto them as Allah has ordained for you (go in unto them in any manner as long as it is in their vagina). Truly, Allah loves those who turn unto Him in repentance and loves those who purify themselves (by taking a bath and cleaning and washing thoroughly their private parts, bodies, for their prayers).
Pickthal's They question thee (O Muhammad) concerning menstruation. Say It is an illness, so let women alone at such times and go not in unto them till they are cleansed. And when they have purified themselves, then go in unto them as Allah hath enjoined upon you. Truly Allah loveth those who turn unto Him, and loveth those who have a care for cleanness.
Shakir's And they ask you about menstruation. Say It is a discomfort; therefore keep aloof from the women during the menstrual discharge and do not go near them until they have become clean; then when they have cleansed themselves, go in to them as Allah has commanded you; surely Allah loves those who turn much (to Him), and He loves those who purify themselves.
Ali's They ask thee concerning women's courses. Say They are a hurt and a pollution So keep away from women in their courses, and do not approach them until they are clean. But when they have purified themselves, ye may approach them in any manner, time, or place ordained for you by Allah. For Allah loves those who turn to Him constantly and He loves those who keep themselves pure and clean.
Lol Ali...you little devil. >D
And finally, RK's. Is it me or does this and Khan's version seem to be the most accurate translation of "fa'tuhunna min haythu Amarakum Allah"? They ask you about menstruation say, "It is harmful; you shall avoid sexual intercourse with the women during menstruation; do not approach them until they are rid of it. Once they are rid of it, you may have intercourse with them in the manner designed by GOD. GOD loves the repenters, and He loves those who are clean.
I then conclude that the Quran, in Arabic, forbids sex of any kind as long as it's not done in the natural and typical way. So, oral, anal, etc. is not acceptable, despite the rulings given by sunni scholars.
Too bad I like oral the most (when it's done on me) (, but if God commands that we do it in the way he ordained, then oh well. Tilth ftw.

Can any expert in Arabic tell me if the word "Rashada" (ra-sha-da) has any connection with the word Rashad? If so then the hadith that states the best guidance is the guidance of Muhammad would be false, as he's stating in 7221 that he CANNOT guide people, and that it's only God who guides. Yet the SAME Imams say this hadith in the khutbah, then later say "he who is guided by Allah indeed has been guided" ok...so which one is it? Or are you referring to Muhammad as God? Damn this is almost like idol worship...
We know the way of Muhammad is correct but people are confusing the sunna of Muhammad (according to HADITH) and the sunna of Muhammad according to the Quran! Muhammad's sunna was based on God's sunna, which is in the Quran! It's NOT in the hadith which hadithists say elaborates on the Quran, that calls itself DETAILED ON EVERY ISSUE! (moofassalan ala kul shei'h) AND CONDEMNS ANY OTHER SAYINGS BESIDES IT!

Peace Meteora
I am no expert in Arabic , but you can find thre best and accurate meaning Ra-Sha-Da in the Root-List
Ra-Shiin-Dal = to follow the right way, be well guided or directed, true direction, correct rule of action, straight forwardness, maturity of a child/intellect, capacity to manage one's affairs.

Contrary to "popular beliefs" there are only 2 major sects in Islam , not 73 as the Muhammadans like to tell the goats that follow the Mullahs and their hadiths .
-
The Muhammadans - People of this group represent the bulk of Stone-Worshippers who thinks that Prophet Muhammad is the beloved
of Allah . They regard The Hadiths as 'Sacred' and accused The Qur'an of being just a "guideline" to be recited
during "Ritual Salat" and special occasions and good for Decorating the book case . -
The Followers of Muhammad -These groups of people only serve God alone and take the Qur'an as their only guide to life , and they do
not worship stone cube or turn their faces East and West to worship Allah . Mostly this second group of
people prefer to be judged by their actions and they tend to want to verify things before they believe or
follow anything and they are not into hadiths .
" Say If you love Allah, then follow me, Allah will love you and forgive you your faults, and Allah is Forgiving, Merciful " ( 331 ) .
The first group idolised Prophet Muhammad based on the above verse , the second follow the "Message" brought by Prophet Muhammad i.e The Qur'an and serve only god .
" O you who believe! obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority from among you; then if you quarrel about anything, refer it to Allah and the Messenger, if you believe in Allah and the last day; this is better and very good in the end " ( 459 ) .
The first group interpret this verse as obeying Allah = Obeying The Qur'an , obeying the Messenger = Following Hadiths/Sunnah and The Authority = Their Ulama/Scholars .
Whereas , the second group generally takes obey god and abey the messenger as one and the same , that is "Obeying/Following" The Message , and 'The Authority' as The law of the land wherever they live as long as this law does not contradict god's law .
This is just my current take of the divisions of Islam as a whole , so I do not take any sub-sects into consideration at all for they all fit into those 2 categories above . ( check out the root of Rashada for correct meaning ...is it the rightly guided or al rashid ? ) .
Peace

It is used as a noun. "Rashad" is stated after "Al-" so rashad is an adjective. Rashada is a noun stated like this "wala rashada" meaning "neither rashada" and as far as I'm concerned, this is refering to guidance. Yusuf Ali's translation is an agreement.

Anyway aside from all that I said, can anyone show me a verse or verses from the Quran that is against complaining to God, or complaining about God? In other words if misfortune befalls you is it a sin to think God disgraced you? Of course he would prefer that you are still thankful but I was just wondering if complaining is anti-Quranic. My current guess is yes it is.
