    Salam Simple,

I don't understand how you are connecting 2028-39 and 37107. Can you please elaborate on this?

I am not aware of a time that Abraham and Moses or Abraham and the mother of Moses interacted in scripture.

    Salam,
    Arnab

Well sometimes we hate to change our belief systems. Sometimes our beliefs are wrong and a streight thing looks bent, like a spoon in a glass of water, and vice versa, never mind.

          peace

Mind you i believe it 110%

          God Bless.

I am asking the same thing. What did GOD sacrifice!?!

              Salaams Br,

Actually God was rewarding/ helping Abraham for refusing to sacrife his son. Abraham was caught on the one hand he was refusing to sacrifice his son and on the other he didn't have a plan - and so God gave Abrahams wife a vision thus showing the way out.

The offer made by God to the mother was the ransom (2039) for her son.

The story is that of Ishmael, who is Moses saved in childhood from the orders of Pharaoh- according to my thoughts.

I-Sma-Ell. = One who heard Allah.

Moses is the only one who we are told heard Allah, in the quran.

It's too easy yet our faith, belief makes us all confused.

              Gods Blessings.

                Salam Simple,

You are confusing two seperate stories in two seperate places in the Quran with no logical link between them.

                          37103
So when they had both submitted their wills (to Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (for sacrifice),

So that is willing to? was he going to? Br.

                            Salam Simple,

In 37103 does not say that a weapon was in use (as of yet). It simply says

But this is not a point of argument between us. Yes, Abraham would have killed his son had God not intervened. Yes, he was willing. Yes, he was in the process.

It would be more helpful if we focused on the part of the discussion where we disagree. Here is my question from earlier in the thread

your every point unfortunately is at a lose; lets see, before we realy get into the itty gritty of the text in quistion

                              A Definite Change In Meaning
While our purpose was solely to indicate letter differences and refute the idea that the Samarqand is ?an original whose content proves the modern version?, we note one example of a meaning which is altered (in Q37103) because of the letter differences which are present in the Samarqand MSS.
First we note the text from Page #652 of the Samarqand MSS (found in Appendix A) which plainly begins with the letters waw mim-alif. A transliteration of the text shown (see to right) would be wa ma ?aslamA.
The translation of this is "And they did not submit (become muslims)".
Beneath that we find the text of the 1924 Egyptian Edition which begins with the
letters fa-lam-mim-alif. A transliteration of the text would be falammA?slamA. The translation of this is "When they too submitted (became muslims)". This is the exact opposite of the Samarqand MSS!

                              Page #652
-In line #2 the ?original? of Q37103 has waw then mim-alif, while the modern version has fa-lam-mim-alif (see p. 67 of main text)
-In line #4 the ?original? of Q37105 is without sad which the modern version has, and it has alif while the modern version has ta.
-In line #6 the ?original? of the same aya is without nun while the modern version has nun.
-In line #7 while the ?original? of Q37106 is without waw the modern version has waw.
-In line #8 the ?original? (same aya) is without ba which the modern version has.

Abraham rejected such a hideous act which was totally against Gods very nature.

And anybody taking such an undertaking is no doubt making his headway to hell !!!!

Is there a nation any where on the face of the earth where people accept a father slaughtering his son? No.
Is there a religeon where people Accept such a heinous act? No.

Do you accept your close family members about to undertake such an awful act - doesn't matter for what ever reason, to an inicent person??? I doubt it Br.

Don't take this as an all out war or something it is a simple fact finding methodology.

                              Gods Blessing Br.
