    Salaam,

I came across an article at Answering Islam.org the link is http//www.answering-islam.org/Shamoun/allah_best_deceiver.htm

This article goes on to say how the God of Islam is the best makr and tries to tarnish Islam based on this word and it's use in Al Quran when it is used to describe Allah. The word means to plot or scheme and is also used in Al Quran to describe people who try to deceive. This is a doozy. The author is doing serious harm with this article. I think that a good response to it is needed. All we need is another act of tom foolery over weak semantics to cause more misunderstanding in an already misunderstood faith. Please check the article and let me know what you think. I posted this comment here http//free-minds.org/forum/index.php?topic=16793.msg168877#new earlier for Wakas and his research but I am also posting it here.
    peace

I think that this is one more of those articles in which propgagandists against Islam grab anything and twist it for their purposes. There is nothing we can do to convince them, because it is not a matter of conviction but of prejudice at best and of ill will at worst.

As to he people who might read that and might be misled, they just have to read a translation that is not fully fudged because this particular aya is not so complicated or controversial either. More or less all people who go by the denomination of Muslim would have a similar opinion. It is awfully clear.

      Salaam

If deception is the meaning of "Makr" .... it really means "plotter" ....... Deception is the word "Gharoor" and God also deceives. Where do you people think these traits that we possess come from? other then GOD?? are you fooling yourselves?? God is the best at everything ...... what we "perceive" to be "good" and what we "perceive" to be "bad".

Wake up and smell the coffee .... you are all lost ..... and you will all see, and I will see .. then we can dispute in the presence of the Creator. I long to meet Him .. as this world today is DONE!!
