Dream Interpretation=death

Selam Aleikum everyone
I have a question regarding a dream I had. Yesterday I had a horrible nightmare that really disturbed me. I tend to have very vivid dreams and often see my dead relatives but this one was truly horrible. I woke up very disturbed and distressed and told my mom. She told me ok, let's have a look at the Ibn Sirin book for dream interpretation. Anyway, we looked it up and it said as clear as day "any woman who dreams of such and such is going to die." I was shocked and so was my mother. But she pretended that everything was alright and went to pray.
After that I called this really nice Sheikh my family is in contact with. I told him Sheikh Mohamed, I had this horrible dream and Ibn Sirin said that it means death for me. He said don't say that, just tell me the dream and I will tell you what it means. So I told him and he said no no, that doesn't mean death at all and in fact what you dreamed means that God is purifying you from your sins. But I have a feeling that he is only telling me this so as not to freak me out
Anyway, I spent the whole day ignoring it and even joking about it. But as the sun began to set I started to become more and more depressed. Firstly, I am 31 years old and like most people my age death is not something I think about a lot. Secondly, even if I die, I don't want to really know about it beforehand. I think its God's gift to us that we are not aware of when our time will be.
But the question I have is, how accurate is Ibn Sirin's interpretation and what place does dream interpretation have in Islam? And most importantly how can I cope with this? At the moment, I feel downright depressed -

I personally believe that there was only one dream mentioned in AlQuraan and without any interpretation. In "Sura Yousuf" there are only visions not dreams but Ibrahim has a vision in sleep so is a dream.

You will find me, God willing, patient.Ibraheem (AS) took it as it is without any interpretation and that too was not fulfilled as it was said a test from Allah.

So you are saying that only Joseph has the power to interpret dreams?
No, he was not interpreting dreams but he was interpreting the visions.
Please note the word where "Ara" is vision and "Manami" is sleep. In Yousuf's case there are only visions and no mentioned of the word "Manami ", hence those are not dreams.
This is how I personally understand. Please correct me if anyone finds me wrong.
