Not long ago i was in this Jazz Festival with a friend of mine listening from audience to an Jazz Group.
The Drummer was gifted musician. His Playing was totally Inspirational. The guy was Playing from his Heart.
So during their gig, my friend approaches me and says, dude these are all highly educated people with academies. Immediately i replied they might be but the drummer is born. Not made.
So they finished their part and we approached to meet them. The fun was in the Drummer's revelation All three members of the band are with Academies he says, and i am not. Never been to any school of music, just followed the Path of My Heart.
Wooow.
When i approached to the guy, i complimented this way i Thank GOD for Creating you so that i can witness what a true musician is.
this is the Pure Compliment. Compliment GOD for HIS Examples. In this way you prevent Resisting the Flow of GOD.
When you think, notice, how people are busy collecting credit for themselves and thus becoming Just like Resistors of the Electrical Circuits.
ALL Praise Merit and Credit is to GOD. It it to HIM i serve by Living My Existential Purpose.
And Dotty, i have stopped defining myself, i have re-learned to Let GOD, the One who Really Knows me, show me the Way.

Personally, I myself would like to relearn to let God show me a lot of things. This however, has become quite difficult for me in my current situation. I've recently been experiencing things in my life that most people can't even dream. I've had people tell me to forgive and move forward... both of which are extremely hard at this point and so easy for others to say. Things are very surreal for me right now. I can be defined as "lost". Offending you was not my intention.

the Wo/Man of The GOD, cannot be offended. If you can. Clean.

ANd The GOD is MOST Compassionate. You have to Allow HIM to get into your Heart.
Even when ALL is HIS Creation.

Literally Get Beyond the state of Being Lost, and from there turn back and look your lost state of Being, while Saying to The Creator. Oh My ALLMighty, please forgive whatever is inside me that has caused this. i am sorry, please forgive me, i Love you GOD, Thank you.
Continue, and don't stop until the problems dissapear. And then Continue Cleaning from Gratefulness of The GOD's Presence.

Not Cleaning the Soul is the Biggest Offense one makes to THe GOD.
This can only be your opinion... otherwise, show me proof. I always thought associating others with God is the biggest offense one can make to the God. Hmmm, I will wait to see what profound things you say next. ???

I am responding only to the ast two posts, havent read entire thread.
The "soul/spirit/subconcious" is called the "NAFS". In 917-10 ...I beleive thats the verses....we are told that those who purify the nafs succeed and those that corrupt it fail.....point blank.
Now, what do we purify it from...incorrect self images (idols). We must be idolfree.

There is a difference between information and education.
Edu..means to draw out...so education should be the drawing out of what is already within you...GOD is the source of us all so we have the all knowing at our source which can be drawn out....but we have to purify ourselves of the INFORMation we get that is not in line with truth.

Salam. Human education is limited understanding of the universe brought into our mind, limited by our senses, conveyed innacurately by fallible human beings. Contrast this with Allahs inspiration into the heart unlimited in its connections to the seen and unseen universe conveyed by an infallible being.
To Dotty. I am concerned at the condition you find yourself in. You describe an inability to forgive and forget. Remember Allah is capable of forgiving everything except shirk/association. We ask of Allah that he forgive us our sins/crimes. How shall we expect forgiveness of Allah when we are unable to forgive. Strive with all your might to forgive and reach forgiveness in your heart and inshallah Allah will bless you with forgiveness.

I agree with you. My experience was not a death, but very much like one. I have passed the sad stage, passed the really angry stage, and now I am trying very hard to move forward. I have asked God many times to help me find forgiveness. It's a slow process, but I do feel God is helping me. It's a strange place for me to be in, because all my life I have been able to forgive, rather easily. If we ever think God has forgotten us, He shows us 1000 times a day He did not. Thanks for reminding me.
