    Hi,

I came across this forum while doing some research on hadiths. I have read so many hadiths from sunni sahih books and I find many of them weird and illogical. Some contradict the Quran, others contradict science, some are immoral... I don't think all of them are false but if so many are wrong, then how can I be sure of the others? When I read the Quran, I feel peaceful inside but when I open a hadiths book I feel lost and angry!
Right now, when I read Hadiths it's only to know more about how people lived at the time. I can't understand how scholars sometimes put the hadith before the Quran. How can a hadith abrogate the Quran when the Quran is the word of God?!

When I talk about this with my friends all I get is "You cannot doubt Sahih Bukhari and Muslim". They have never even read them! And they always try to justify weird hadiths by saying that there must be a reason behind these hadiths that we can't understand. o
The last time I had a discussion about this with a friend, the response I got (after presenting so many convincing arguments) was "Sometimes I feel that you are not convinced by Islam". Whenever this subject is opened, others just try to make me feel guilty. ( To be honest, I am still lost...

      Peace.

Forget about hadiths. The quran contains pure monotheism, which hadithists don`t understand.

Greetings and peace, hey welcome and all others group

It all boils down to what you believe/what do you trust. Nobody (to my knowledge) claims that extra-Quranic hadith supercede the Quran. There is no abrogation in AQ. None from within and none from without. AQ passes the logic test. Mind, AQ does contain hadith. It is the extra-Quranic hadith that have no place in the deen/system.

There is a wealth of knowledge in the FM articles--but one must always verify. The articles can (ISA) help guide towards the truth. Do not take anything for granted just because someone says a thing is true. Incredible claims require incredible evidence.

1736 And do not uphold what you have no knowledge of. For the hearing, eyesight, and heart, all these you are responsible for.

The Quran claims to be complete, fully detailed, protected, and enough for a believer.

6114 "Shall I seek other than GOD as a judge when He has sent down to you the Book fully detailed?" Those to whom We have given the Book know it is sent down from your Lord with the truth; so do not be of those who have doubt.

6115 And the word of your Lord has been completed with truth and justice; there is no changing His words. He is the Hearer, the Knower.

6116 And if you obey most of those on the earth they will lead you away from the path of GOD; that is because they follow conjecture, and that is because they only guess.

7750 So in what narrative , after it, will they believe?

2530 And the messenger said "My Lord, my people have deserted this Qur'an."

2951 Is it not enough for them that We have sent down to you the Book that is being recited to them? In that is a mercy and a reminder for people who believe.

ISA, it is impossible to bring everyone to monotheism. The best that we can do is practice it ourselves and invite others to it.

4133 And who is better in saying than he who invites to GOD, and does good works, and says "I am one of those who have submitted."

2170 And if they are told "Follow what GOD has sent down," they say "No, we will follow what we found our fathers doing!" What if their fathers did not comprehend anything and were not guided?

Popularity/conformity is NOT an adequate substitute for guidance! Stay true to your knowledge and guidance.

I look forward to seeing you around.

May ALLAH see fit to guide all seekers.

        peace

        ~Abdul-Hadi

          Shalom,

          welcome to the forum.

This is how you answer back (if they are blind to the Qur'an)

Go to your nearest market that sells Ajwa dates. Buy atleast 7 ajwa dates. Buy some deadly poison too. Invite your friends and ask them to bring the Sahih-Bukhari collection with them. Read out the following hadiths and hand them the 7 ajwa dates and poison

          "Narrated by Saud
The Prophet said, "If somebody takes some 'Ajwa dates every morning, he will not be effected by poison or magic on that day till night." (Another narrator said seven dates)."

          "Narrated by Sad
I heard Allah's Apostle saying, "Whoever takes seven 'Ajwa dates in the morning will not be effected by magic or poison on that day."

They will never be foolish enough to eat 7 ajwa dates and then take poison. You have successfully turned the table around. Now simply ask them "Who is doubting Sahih-Bukhari now ? "

          Peace be on you

Of course they won't eat them. I can imagine what some of them would say Some hadiths are weak. You are taking the hadith out of context, that's not what the Prophet (PBUH) meant. The Prophet probably didn't mean it literally... etc )

Exactly, Bukhari contains WEAK narration as my original statement was. Thanks for admitting it.

              Provide me the context.

Probably ???? Prove that its not literal. If you can't provide evidence, then I can take any hadith to be metaphorical.

"These are the Ayaats of Allah that we recite to you truthfully. In which HADITH other than Allah and his Ayaat do you believe ?"

And then they bring out their last weapon - "we're only mere laymen and only scholars can provide interpretation".

Bring them Quranic verses but it doesn't change a thing.

Do not lose hope. Give them the ayaats from Qur'an. If they persist in blocking their own ears, none can help them. Simply invite them to study Qur'an and maintain peace. I know its difficult to walk away like that when you have tonnes of ayaats in your mind. From experience, I know that the ones that really believes either accept the message when they know that its from Qur'an, or they chose to not argue in respect of the words of God.

By the way, if they dont know hadith/quran, they dont know islam, if they dont know islam, they are not muslims. They simply buy into the idea of a supernatural being called Allah.

Peace Hey, and welcome to the community. God says in the Quran that He will guard it, and He has guarded the original Arabic version. So since Satan new he can't change the original Quran in Arabic, he went around it and created the hadith that would ad or go against the Quran in order to confuse us and make us weaker since going against God and following someone who is not a prophet like Bukhari whom God didn't authorised in the Quran would be setting up partners in worship with God means you will loose his suport.

Plus God forbids sects in the Quran and Sunni, shia, sufi and whoever else are sects. There is a hadith that prophesises that there will be 72 sects and that only one will be successful. Now tba doesn't make sense since the Quran forbids sects. Think about it.

This is my underdtanding of it.

May God guide you in your search for the truth.

                      Thanks
