HELP. Just divorced - by text message :/

Yes. Indonesia is not really an ugly country though. It is beautiful from the outside, but just like many other developing countries everything else is ...
It is like having a hot attractive wife with awful personality. She gives good impression but it is tough to live with her. LOL
Ah, yeah I can imagine that in some way. But I wonder if there really are a paradise on earth if we not create it ourselves of course.
-
I was making an exaggeration only to make a point.
But then again I still dont understand why you wont go back to the Fatherland where you and your children can probably be assured of a better life. As for your ex-husband maybe you and the kids can go visit in once in a while, no?
I wish I was German so I can leave this ugly country Im living in. ;D ;D ;D
Because i like morocco and also because the better life would only be for me, not for my kids.
and i want them to grow up with both their parents

Peace,
This is very kind of you to do, so unselfish

From what I saw on some documentaries about Morocco, it looks kind of dirty just like my country. I dont see whats so good about it. Nevertheless, I understand your exemplary motherly consideration.

Thanks so much for the roses LOL
but it works only because both parents managed the divorce well, unfortunately better than the marriage...
had the situation been different, i might have acted like so many foreign women here who escape with their kids
about morocco, dirty - yes depends where, but also so beautiful - and , the important point not as cold as germany

Asalaam Alaikoum
I think divorce sometimes is a path for changing our life , yes the mistakes can happened for example to marry with a sunni man or a weak woman who hasn't courage for to support your beliefs, sometimes I see that I'm a bad man or maybe a hard man only because I love God and I want to do all my best for following the God's message , for example if an woman is decided for to divorce her husband because he don't let her to practice her religion or because she don't want to live with him about his beliefs personally I agree with for to do the divorce only because I believe that the best life for her it's to be with a submitter , yes God test us , test our beliefs Do the people think that they will be left to say, "We believe," without being put to the test?
maybe I have not humanity and I have not feelings also maybe I'm a wild man but I accepted the God's message , and I afraid only God because he's the only who can help me , Please tell me how you see an orphan who live without his parents alone , do you think that he's alone , no he is not , he is under the God's control and God will ask him/her in the Jugment day about his beliefs , we're on this earth only for to Worship God ,Quran says You should know that your money and your children are a test, and that GOD possesses a great recompense. your money and your Children are a test , I think if someone don't want to divorce about his Children or his money it will suffer too much because he accepted the life than God , as I said we're all under the God's control or under the God's eyes , and God will help us if we accept his alone , if we afraid him , he don't want to see us afraid his message we're in war against satan ,
O you who believe, do not be distracted by your money and your children from remembering GOD. Those who do this are the losers.
I'm sorry if I disturbed some people with this truth it's the truth even we will not like it , personally if God will ask me for to kill myself I will , we must to worship God and to believe by his messengers , I am sorry I know it's a hard message anyway each one the Quran is between his hands and he/she can to read it by wisdom .
God bless you -
Dear Sis,
I understand what you're going through. But please understand that it's not Islam's fault, it's your husband who has left you. I also find some of Hadith's teachings to be contradictory to Quran. Besides, Hadith is written by men whereas Quran was revealed by God himself.

Salam dragonflies. Regardless of the interpersonal conflict, when it comes to talaq, Allah is the lawgiver.
Allah has hudood/limits on what a believer must do. These limits include a proper nikah, a mandatory arbitration, and observing the hudood on the pronouncement of the talaq. The hudood confer upon you, as his zawj, a right to your mehr and maintenance.
You inform us your zawj has not obeyed the hudood. Allah decrees that refusing to observe the hudood will result in the aazab/destruction of the person.
In order to prevent confusion, he needs a reminder of the hudood, you are also reminded. Notify him in writing that his pronouncement of talaq is invalid for failing to meet the requirements of hudood. If he wishes a talaaq he must comply with the hudood. Notify him that he is in violation of his hudood duty to maintain his zawj or produce your mehr. Notarize the document and send it with a carrier with proof of delivery.
Nasr min Allah wa fathun qareeb. Have faith in Allah his help is near.

I'm glad I found this site, I've been a muslim for 2 years and married for 1year.
My husband just divorced me by text message this morning '(
I live with my parents while waiting to go to move to his country. Was due to leave in two weeks to live there permenantly. I visitied once, but his family didn't accept me because I am a westerner (she doesn't like anyone outside her own tribe, let alone outside the Arab countries). His mother would not even see me the whole month I first visited& stopped his sisters from seeing me. But he said they had changed and they looking forward to welcome me their and he was preparing a flat for me.
I wear hijab (but not niqab as muslims are rare here &it isnt feel safe - also I dont think its fard), I dont have male friends, I dont go out or work. I'm not perfect but tried to be good, but sometimes i made mistakes. When he came here he was great, when he went home again I was never good enough. He held every mistake against me. I kept promising to behave better, I asked permission to go anywhere but if I didn't like his ruling I talked back and he couldn't take that. He wanted me to believe and understand islam in exactly the same way as he did, and to treat men with 'the respect' he deserved. It didn't start out like that at the start I thought he was understanding and loving and gentle. Now he says I am ungrateful and selfish. And not 'a real muslim'
The final straw I went out with my sister and a female friend - the last chance to meet up before I left the country. I had to rearrange because he didn't want me going at night, so I arranged for the afternoon next day but I got back at 6pm when it had got dark. And I'm not meant to be out after dark. Turns out it was the place not just the time that was the problem as being in public was dishonour to him (when he was here he would have taken me to the same place himself). I need some wise advice or guidence, I love my husband and if he takes me back during my iddah I think i should I go - am i wise? Was I wrong &self centred? I don't know what to do now, i just feel so ashamed.
My first husband was physically absusive, I left him and evangelical Christianity (that said I'd sinned for getting divorced). I can't go back to Christianity - I don't believe it I reject the idea of a trinity and Islam seemed to be the answer (Same God, same morality). I'm just so lost. I've almost thought of leaving Islam, because i've felt so hurt, I just can't accept God would allow women to be so controlled (everything he said had a hadith or islamic ruling as justification). But I can't not believe there is truth in Islam.
I have so many questions.
I have genuine doubts about hadith. I believe firmly in God Alone. Before I haven't met others who have more similar concepts of God to me. Either if they aren't strict they don't really believe in God, or what I think is moderate, turns out like this. Please advise me. Am I wrong in thinking like I am?
I believe in wife obeying husband within limits (as my mum does to my dad), but am I wrong to think my husband was too extreme with this or should I have tried harder?
Could this be because of his mother's influence (he puts her first)? If so why does he blame me?Also - are there progressive mosques in the UK?
This is just one person, and unfortunately. This is the case with some people. Its the same with most southern americans, who probably wont accept a black spouse into a white family. Doesn't make them want to leave their religion though.

As'salaam Alaykum, Sis...
I am very sorry to hear of your grief, but I can certainly understand.
First, I'd like to advise... NEVER abandon ALLAH and ISLAM for anyone or anything!
You were once a Christian, as you stated... and you abandoned that religion because of your heart and beliefs; which did not coincide with the religion itself. ALLAH led you to ISLAM, because of this correct thinking and believing... in the ONENESS of GOD (ALLAH); which IS ISLAM. You were a Muslim even while practicing Christianity, because you had already embraced the Message, the Way... the Path... straight to ALLAH!
I can not advise you in any way on the issue of divorce... only ALLAH knows best! Therefore, you must consult ALLAH's law concerning this matter... the Qur'an... and choose according to what will leave you in good standing with ALLAH.
We are to move away from anyone or anything that will come between us and ALLAH... He knows best!
Follow what is right... even if it goes against your FEELINGS, which are obviously VERY strong for your husband. But never abandon ISLAM because of your grief of a relationship with someone other than ALLAH.
ISLAM also means PEACE... and when you are in submission to ALLAH (ISLAM)... you are accepting PEACE and ALLAH for yourself. What is better than this?
Be the best Muslim that you can be for ALLAH... this should help you with your decision.
Peace and blessings to you... and may ALLAH guide you in the correct way and have mercy in light of your circumstances.
The Meek One, A Lady angel
