Yeah my office co-worker is trying to get me on the Ron Paul bandwagon...
Somehow, i just don't think he will get the nomination, and if he does, i
really don't think he will get elected..I am just done with those guys in Was-h-ington D.C., I am looking
to seeing States start to become a lot more independent of
the Feds in the remaining years I am walking around...This country is way too divided to ever come back together again...
So I think I will just start looking closer at State Politics from now on... and quit paying ta-es to the Fe-ds...

I am not an Obama official support, but maybe if he and Ron Paul run together (doesn't matter who is pres and vice to me)..I MIGHT get involved. Nevertheless, I think the point he was making I highlighted below. And that I don't think any US president can change.

That's pretty cool to hear a main-stream candidate say that. There are some good things about him, but he's not 'anti-war' (sue me for the double negative) as many think he is.

that is a good point, IQO, but he could come out and say that Israel is a Aparthied State and he will not support any more aid to Israel, until
they give the vote to all the human beings that they currently govern...I was taken by him at first, but I am seeing his position on the Middle East more clearly now, and just like H.M.D. points out he is just like the rest of
them...I suppose I need to get on the Ron Paul band wagon, it is such a depressing thought, joining a looser campaign, just on princple...but maybe God will suprise me...

Im with you most of the way on all of this. I don't not like what I hear when Obama speaks of Middle East foreign policy. But I think he has some good and balanced reality ideas about other things we need to fix domestically. That's why I mentioned that if Paul and Obama got together, and if they did like Obama mentioned, borrowed the best ideas from each other; then that might be a ticket that I could think about giving full support.

Me neither Lh, its so much fun actually, so far we have bombed the country to pieces, destroyed their economy, stolen their sovereignty, killed just over i million innocents, many others, and our country here back home is rotting into the dustbin of history, but hey,, Bush got to kill the guy that his daddy couldnt, heheh.

It seems Kurt you misunderstood me.I think the reason for the Iraq war was wrong because there were no weapons of mass destruction.But I think we need to stay there because we caused this mess and we should fix it.Then you might say were just making things worse.Well studies show in these months stuff has improved.And concerning Saddam's death he deserved it.My Iraqi freind's family held a party and called his death great.Does this all mean I am a conservtive.No.I find the right insane.But sometimes the left can become dogmatic to.

Ideally, I'd like to see peace keepers in Afghanistan and Iraq who aren't British or American and so who don't encourage the Jihadis. But well. On the subject of the thread, it is a pity there aren't more proper parties in the US. The trouble with Ron Paul is that people may decide they like having roads. And you'd have to be a little bit crazy to prefer Mr John 'Bomb, bomb, bomb Iran' McCain to Obama.
