    Salaam,

Allah is the one who gives life and takes it, we have no right to commit suicide, including "euthanasia".

Yes but I don't like poking my nose into other peoples business, so if they wanna commit suicide, I say let them.

And Nadeem I am mystified to where you got the idea that I thought that Terri's life was "worth less".

The Terri Shiavo case shows the problem with society if polygamy is not allowed. If someone's wife is permanently in a vegatable state, he would naturally want another wife for his family. But because in America polygamy is against the law, he ended up supporting the murder of his own wife (which is allowed ironically, yet again showing the moral corruption of the West).

Yes but I don't like poking my nose into other peoples business, so if they wanna commit suicide, I say let them.

Preventing sin and crime should be everyone's business. Suicide is against the law, its nothing short of murdering yourself, but its still murder. Furthermore, it is a major sin in Islam, the punishment in Hell is that the suicidal person will have to endure his mode of killing himself for all eternity. Sometimes the best interests of a person is not necessarily what they want.

        Peace Angel,

I asked you "Does the value of a living entity diminish without emotions?"

To which you answered "Nad, yes it does.".

If Terri was indeed a living entity without emotions, then according to your answer you should consider her life to be of less worth.

I don't understand why don't see the connection?

Sorry, when you said a "living entity without emotions" I thought you meant cells lol

But if animals don?t know they are going to die (as many existentialists claim) then the process is not going to be as painful, which makes their extinction more tolerable, but it does now reduce the value of their existents/lives.

And Yusha what people do with their own lives is their own business, unless they are harming other people we have no right to intervene.

          peace

If God didn't want us to eat animals, he would not have made them out of food!

                Hi,

Unless they are harming other people

if they wanna commit suicide, I say let them

When a parent finds out their child committed suicide ? yes it would harm them, and may be irretrievably.

And thinking about any suicide yes it can harm other people.

with respects i think people a little grown up realize this more then others.

                God Bless.

whether a person wants to live or die its up to them, they are NOT their parents property, ofcause some parents have difficulty understanding that.

But if they had children which are dependent on them then it would be a foolish thing to do.

i am unapologetic on my stance on euthanasia

                  peace

I think personally it is only okay if ever need arises in a case and only if no one else knew you did it- then of course its between you and your maker and your actions will not have effected anybody else, but that is just my thoughts.

                    Gods Blessings on All.
