" I am of those who have submitted."
-
" I only call on my Lord, and I do not associate anyone with Him."
-
"My communion, and my rites, and my life, and my death, are all to God the Lord of the worlds." "He has no partner, and it is to this that I was commanded, and I am the first of those who have submitted."

" Our Lord, the Lord of the heavens and the Earth. We will not call besides Him any god. If we have done so then it was in error."
-
"We believe in God and in what was sent down to us and what was sent down to Abraham, and Ishmael, and Isaac, and Jacob, and the Patriarchs, and what was given to Moses and Jesus, and what was given to the prophets from their Lord; we do not make any distinction between any of them and to Him we submit."
Introduction
What is prayer?
- Prayer to the believers becomes a timed schedule that prohibits evil and vice.
(4103 Indeed, the communion for the believers becomes a timed schedule.
2945 for the communion prohibits evil and vice- Through prayer we remember our Mighty God.
(2014 "I am God, there is no god but Me, so serve Me and hold the communion for My remembrance."
- Prayer is an act of humble worship in which we seek God with all out heart.
( 2 Cronicles 714 If my people will humbly pray and turn back to me and stop sinning, then I will answer them from heaven.)
- Prayer often begins with a confession of sin.
( Psalm 3818 I confess my sins; I am deeply sorry for what I have done.)
- Prayer is asking God for guidance and waiting for his direction and leading.
( 1 Samuel 1436 The priest said, " Lets ask God first."
2 Samuel 5 19 David asked the Lord, " should I go out to fight the Philistines?"
- Prayer is an expression of an intimate relationship with our Lord, who makes his own love and resources available to us.
( Mark 135 The next morning Jesus awoke long before daybreak and went out alone into the wilderness to pray.)
- Through prayer we praise our Mighty God.
( Psalm 91-2 I will thank you, Lord, with all my heart? I will sing praises to your name, O Most High.)
Does the Scriptures teach a " right" way to pray?
- Jesus taught his disciples that true prayer is the result of an intimate relationship with the Lord and includes a dependency for daily needs, commitment to obedience, and forgiveness of sin,
( Matthew 69 You should pray like this
"Our Lord in heaven, help us to honor your name. Come and set up your Kingdom. Give us each day the food we need. Forgive our sins, as we forgive those who has done wrong to us. And lead us not into temptation ,But protect us from evil."
- Prayer is to be consistent and persistent.
(Luke 181 Jesus told his disciples a story about how they should keep on praying and never give up
In a town there was once a judge who didn't fear God or care about the people. In that same town there was a widow who kept going to the judge and saying, " Make sure that I get fair treatment in court."
For awhile the judge refused to do anything. Finally, he said to himself, " Even thoe I don't fear God or care about the people, I will help this widow because she keeps on bothering me. If I don't help her, she will wear me out."
The Lord said
Think about what this crooked judge said. Wont God protect his chosen ones who pray to him day and night? Won the be concerned for them? He will surely hurry and help them. But when the Son of Man comes, will he find on this earth anyone with faith?)
Does God always answer prayers?
- We can be confident that God will respond to our prayer when we submit to His will.
(2186 And if My servants ask you about Me, I am near answering the calls of those who call to Me. So let them respond to Me and believe in Me that they may be guided.
2762 The One who answers the distressed when he calls Him, and He removes the evil, and He makes you successors on Earth. Is there a god with God? Little do you remember!)
- Our prayer must be accompanied by a willingness to obey with our actions.
( Exoduse 1415 The Lord said to Moses, " Why are you crying out to me? Tell the people to get moving!".
The importance of prayer
- Any submitter who observes an obligatory prayer after having done their ablution, will have his bad deeds canceled.
(56 O you who believe, if you rise to hold the communion, then wash your faces and your hands up to the elbows, and wipe your heads and your feet to the ankles; and if you have had intercourse, then you shall bathe. And if you are ill, or traveling, or you have excreted feces, or you have had sexual contact with the women, and you cannot not find water, then you shall select from the clean soil; you shall wipe your faces and your hands with it.God does not want to place any hardship on you, but He wants to cleanse you and to complete His blessings upon you that you may be appreciative.)
(11114 And pray dawn and evening at sunset during the twilight. The good deeds take away the bad. This is a reminder to those who remember.)
- The delay of prayer beyond its designated period without a valid or legitimate reason is prohibited.
Denial of prayers as an obligatory act of worship constitutes apostasy from Islam( submission to God ), while neglecting it is an act of infidelity.
(7205 And get down upon your knees and commemorate your Lord in private, dawn and evening at sunset. And do not be of the neglectful. )
- On the Day of Resurrection God will ask the criminals " What has caused you to be in the scorching heat?" They will say " We were not of those who prayed."
(7441 About the criminals.
7442 "What has caused you to be in the scorching heat?"
7443 They said "We were not of those who communed."
-
Not only is prayer obligatory, it must be observed at two prescribed times every day. The following are the two daily prayers
-
The Dawn Prayer The period of this prayer is from the crack of dawn to sunrise.
-
The Evening ( Sunset ) prayer The evening prayer may be observed soon as the sun sinks below the horizon until dusk has ended.
(2238 And get down upon your knees and pray to God day in and day out.
11114 And pray dawn and evening at sunset during the twilight. The good deeds take away the bad. This is a reminder to those who remember.
1778 Keep the evening prayers at sunset untill it has become completely dark, and the prayer and reading at dawn; for the dawn prayer and reading is established.
So wake up from the night and pray and read, a duty for you as was for those before you, God willing your Lord grant you a blessed position.)
Conditions for the validity of prayer
- Purity
One must be in the state of purity obtained after an ablution which includes the below conditions
If one rises to observe the prayer, then he must (1) wash his face, (2) wash his hands, (3) wash his arms up to the elbows, (4) wipe his head, and (5) wipe his feet up to the ankles; If he has had intercourse/ejaculated semen then they must bath the whole body. And if one is ill, or traveling, or have excreted feces, or have had sexual contact, and they cannot find any water, then they must select from clean soil and ( 1) wipe their faces and ( 2) hands with it.
(56 O you who believe, if you rise to hold the communion, then wash your faces and your hands up to the elbows, and wipe your heads and your feet to the ankles; and if you have had intercourse, then you shall bathe. And if you are ill, or traveling, or you have excreted feces, or you have had sexual contact with the women, and you cannot not find water, then you shall select from the clean soil; you shall wipe your faces and your hands with it. God does not want to place any hardship on you, but He wants to cleanse you and to complete His blessings upon you that you may be appreciative.)
Besides purity of the body, purity of the place whereon prayer is observed is also necessary. The place or spot on which prayer is observed should be pure and clean. Follow the example of Abraham.
(2125 And We have made the Dwelling to be a model for the people and a security. And you shall take from the situation of Abraham for communion. And We had entrusted to Abraham and Ishmael "You shall purify My Dwelling for those who visit, and those who are devoted, and the kneeling, the prostrating."
It is also essential that the clothing donned by the submitter be pure and clean.
( 731 O Children of Adam, dress nicely at every temple,
744 And purify your garments.)
The obligatory prayers may be observed alone or in congregation led by a leader.
The times of prayer
The time for morning prayer
Approximately 1 ? hours before sunrise a dim whitish glow appears vertically in the eastern horizon. Soon after this vertical glow, a brightness appears horizontally in the eastern horizon. This horizontal glow spreads instantly along the horizon becoming larger and larger until after a short while it becomes light. The time for Dawn prayer commences with the appearance of this horizontal glow in the eastern horizon. The time for Dawn prayer lasts until sunrise.
(It is preferable to observe the Dawn prayer when it is a bit light)
(1778 and the prayer and reading at dawn; for the dawn prayer and reading is established.)
The time for the evening prayer
Immediately after sunset the time for evening prayer commences, and lasts until it has become completely dark.
(1778 Keep the evening prayers at sunset untill it has become completely dark, )
- The two prayers must be observed after entry of their respective times. These prayers cannot be observed prior to their appointed time.
(4103 Indeed, the communion for the believers becomes a timed schedule.)
How to pray
When you pray, do not be like those show-offs who love to stand up and pray in the meeting places and on the street corners. They do this just to look good. I can assure you that they already have their reward.
When you pray, go into your room and close the door. Pray to your Lord in private. He knows what is done in private, and He will reward you.
When you pray, don't talk on and on as people do who don't know God. They think God likes to hear long prayers. Do not be like them. Your Lord knows what you need before you ask.
You should pray like this
"Our Lord in heaven, help us to honor your name. Come and set up your Kingdom. Give us each day the food we need. Forgive our sins, as we forgive those who has done wrong to us. And lead us not into temptation, But protect us from evil."
If you forgive others for the wrong they do to you, your Lord in heaven will forgive you. But if you don't forgive others, your Lord will not forgive your sins. ( Matt 65-15 )
Suppose one of you goes to a friend in the middle of the night and says, " Let me borrow three loaves of bread. A friend of mine has dropped in, and I don't have a thing for him to eat." And suppose your friend answers, " Don't bother me! The door is bolted, and my children and I are in bed. I cannot get up to give you something."
He may not get up and give you the bread, just because you are his friend. But he will get up and give you as much as you need, simply because you are not ashamed to keep on asking.
So I tell you to ask and you will receive, search and you will find, knock and the door will be opened for you. Everyone who asks will receive, everyone who searches will find, and the door will be open for everyone who knocks. Which one of you fathers would give your hungry child a snake if the child asked for a fish? Which one of you would give your child a scorpion if the child asked for an egg? As bad as you are, you still know how to give good gifts to your children. But your Lord in heaven is even more ready to give the Holy Spirit and the good things to anyone who asks. ( Luke 115-13 )
448 God does not forgive that partners be set up with Him, and He forgives what is beside that for whom He wills. Whoever sets-up partners with God has indeed invented a great sin.
4719 So know that there is no god besides God, and ask forgiveness of your sins and also for the believing men and the believing women. And God knows your movements and your place of rest.
41And be aware of God whom you ask about, and the relatives. God is watcher over you.
9113 It is not for the prophet and those who believe that they should seek forgiveness for those who have set up partners, even if they are relatives, after it has been made clear to them that they are the dwellers of Hell.
432And ask God from His favor, God is Knowledgeable over all things.
1711 The human being often prays for something that may hurt him, thinking that he is praying for something good. The human being is impatient.
3145 And whoever wants the rewards of this world We give him of it, and whoever wants the reward of the Hereafter, We give him of it. And We will reward the thankful.
4220 Whoever desires the harvest of the Hereafter, We will increase for him his harvest. And whoever seeks the harvest of this world, We will give him there from, and he will have no share in the Hereafter.
2200From among the people are those who say; " Our Lord, give us from this world!," but in the Hereafter he has no part.
2201And some of them say " Our Lord, give us good in this world, and good in the Hereafter, and spare us from the retribution of the Fire."
These will have a benefit for what they have gained; and God is quick in judgment.
Prayer Method
Bowing and prostration are appropriate postures for worship
(243 And uphold the communion, and contribute towards betterment, and kneel with those who kneel.
2277 O you who believe, kneel and prostrate and serve your Lord and do good that you may succeed.
4829 Mohammed is the messenger of God, and those who are with him are severe against the rejecters, but merciful between themselves. You see them kneeling and prostrating, they seek God's blessings and approval. Their distinction is in their faces, as a result of prostrating. Such is their example in the Torah. And their example in the Injeel is like a plant which shoots out and becomes strong and thick and it stands straight on its trunk, pleasing to the farmers. That He may enrage the rejecters with them. God promises those among them who believe and do good works a forgiveness and a great reward.
7747 Woe on that Day to the disbelievers!
7748 And when they are told to kneel, they do not kneel.
7749 Woe on that Day to the disbelievers!
7750 So in what words after it will they believe?
598 So glorify with the praise of your Lord, and be of those who prostrate.
2560 And if they are told "Prostrate to the Almighty." They say "And what is the Almighty? Shall we prostrate to what you order us?" And it increases their aversion.4137 And from among His signs are the night and the day, and the sun and the moon. Do not prostrate to the sun, nor the moon; you shall prostrate to God who created them, if it is truly Him you serve.
5362 You shall prostrate to God, and serve.
6842 The Day will come when they will be exposed, and they will be required to prostrate, but they will be unable to.
6843 With their eyes subdued, humiliation will cover them. They were invited to prostrate when they were whole and able.9619 prostrate and come near.)
- The position of standing erect and the glorification.
Begin your prayer with worship or adoration of God. David did this in the Psalms.
(1755 And your Lord is fully aware of who is in the heavens and the Earth. And We have preferred some prophets over others, and We gave David the Psalms.
3817 Be patient to what they say, and recall Our servant David, the resourceful. He was obedient.
The submitter stands erect, facing the Focal Point, gaze cast down. He forms the intention for his prayer and says
" Glory be to our God!"
As he utters this he raises both hands upward towards his head in such a manner that the palms of both hands face the Focal Point, and the hands should be raised a height where the thumbs are in line with the lobes of the ears. Once the hands reach the required height ( i.e. the ear lobes), the submitter can immediately bring them down and fold them below the navel or over the chest or simply keep his hands raised. When folding the hands the submitter should ensure that
(I) the right hand is on top of the left hand.
(20111 And the faces shall be humbled for the Eternal, the Living. And whoever carried wickedness with him has failed.)
Once the hands have been folded as explained above or while raised, the submitter should recite
"Praise be to God who has not taken a son, nor does He have a partner in sovereignty, nor does He have an all out of weakness."17110-111
( N.B. This is an important part of both morning and evening prayer services cause it is the statement of the submitters monotheism and Gods
providence. And it is the foundation of Submission ( Islam). The posture of standing ends at this point, I.e,after the affirmation.)
At the end of the above, the submitter should utter
" Glory be to our God!"
And go into the kneeling posture.
2.The form of kneeling and confession
Before proceeding further, examine your heart since you last prayed, and ask forgiveness for your sins. If you don't, it is futile to pray further, for as the psalmist said, " If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me" ( Psalm 6618 ). Fortunately, we can confess our sin and know that He will forgive us of " all unrighteousness".
When sitting in the kneeling, the hands are placed on the thighs with the fingers held together facing the Focal Point very close to the knees or the hands are lifted up in prayer or however God has taught one to pray.
In the posture of kneeling the submitter should say the prayers It is recommended for one to make a prayer list so one doesn't forget anything. The submitter should pray for their forgiveness, for the forgiveness of the believing men and the believing women, and for God to have mercy or their parents. One may choose a prayer or all of the prayers below or say their own prayers. You should pray like this
316 "Our Lord, we believe, so forgive us our sins, and spare us the retribution of the Fire."
23118 "My Lord, forgive and have mercy, and you are the best of those who are merciful."
7128 "My Lord, forgive me, and my parents, and all who enters my home as a believer, and to the believing men and the believing women; and do not increase the wicked except in destruction."
After reciting the prayers in kneeling the submitter should recite
" Glory be to our God!"
And then rise up slightly bowing lowly, taking 3 steps back while remaining bending to prepare for prostration. And then go into prostration.
- The posture of prostration and recongnition
I cannot exaggerate how important it is to learn to be thankful. It is part of the spirit-filled submitters life and is essential to becoming a happy person, whether in prison or as a free man or woman. Thank God for who He is, and for what He has done for you and what you are learning from His word.
As the submitter goes into prostration, he places on the ground firstly his knees, then he lies down flat , face down, in submission or adoration. His body should be stretched at full length ,with his arms reaching towards the Sacred Temple.
In this posture of prostration the submitter should glorify as desired, one may recite the following
" Glory be to our God!" greatly
0r/and
326 - 27 " Our god, Possessor of Kingship; You grant Kingship to whom you please, and You revoke Kingship from whom You please, and honor whom You please, and humiliate whom You please; in Your hand is goodness. You are capable of all things. You blend the night into the day, and blend the day into the night; and You bring the living out the dead, and bring the dead out the living; and You provide for whom You please with no reckoning."
3946 "Our god, Initiator of the heavens and the Earth, Knower of the unseen and the seen, You will judge between Your servants regarding what they disputed in."
After reciting the above in prostration, the submitter recites
"Glory be to our God!"
And then goes into the kneeling posture.
- The kneeling after prostration and supplication
This is just a fancy word for asking God for the needs of your life and for those of the people He lays on your heart.
During the kneeling the submitter glorifies further as one desires It is recommended for one to make a prayer list so one doesn't forget anything. The submitter should ask God from His favor. One may choose a few or all of the prayers below or say their own prayers . You should pray like this
2201 "Our Lord, give us good in this world, and good in the Hereafter, and spare us from the retribution of the Fire."
2104 "Be patient with us,"
38 -9 "Our Lord, do not make our hearts deviate after You have guided us, and grant us from You a mercy; You are the Grantor." "Our Lord, You will gather the people for a Day in which there is no doubt; God does not break His appointment."
20114 "My Lord, increase my knowledge."
2393-94 "My Lord, if You show me what they are promised." "My Lord, then do not leave me amongst the wicked people."
"Our Lord, avert from us the retribution of Hell. Its retribution is terrible." "It is a miserable abode and dwelling."
2574 "Our Lord, grant us from our mates and our progeny what will be the comfort of our eyes, and make us role models the righteous."
Your prayer method has now been complete.
( note 4102 And if you are with them and you hold the communion for them, then let a group from amongst them stand with you and let them bring their weapons; and when they have prostrated then let them stand guard from behind; and let a group who has not yet communed come and commune with you, and let them be wary and let them bring their weapons with them. The rejecters hope that you would neglect your weapons and goods so they can come upon you in one blow. There is no sin upon you if you are impeded by rainfall, or if you are ill, that you place down your weapons. And be wary. God has prepared for the rejecters a humiliating retribution.)
The position of the constituent parts of prayer
The absolute proof constituesnt
There are parts of prayer which are absolute proof.
- After making intention for prayer to say
"Praise be to God who has not taken a son, nor does He have a partner in soverinty, nor does He have a ally out of weakness."
(17 110-111 And do not be too loud in making your communion, nor too quite; but seek a path in between. And say "Praise be to God who has not taken a son, nor does He have a partner in sovereignty, nor does He have an ally out of weakness." )
- To pray to God
Example 7128 "My Lord, forgive me, and my parents, and all who enters my home as a believer, and to the believing men and the believing women; and do not increase the wicked except in destruction."
(1082 Therefore, you shall pray to your Lord ??)
- The posture of prostration.
( 4102 And if you are with them and you hold the communion for them, then let a group from amongst them stand with you and let them bring their weapons; and when they have prostrated then let them stand guard from behind; and let a group who has not yet communed come and commune with you, and let them be wary and let them bring their weapons with them.
The strong proofs of prayer
The following parts of prayer are proof but of a lesser category than the absolute proof factors
-
To fulfill the various constiuent parts ( I,e the absoulte proofs and the strong proof parts) in their appropriate order as described in the section dealing with the method of prayer.
-
To supplicate further after the prostration.
(5040 And glorify Him after prostrating.)
- To pray while in the kneeling posture.
(243 and kneel with those who kneel.)
( 3824 And David guessed that We had tested him, so he sought forgiveness from his Lord, and fell down kneeling, and repented.)
- To fulfil all parts of the prayer with dignity and respect- without any haste.
(1965 "The Lord of the heavens and the Earth and what is in-between them. So serve Him and be patient in His service. Do you know anything that is like Him?"
All other parts of prayer, besides the Absolute proof and strong proof constituents are factors which are observed by the messenger or leader. The submitter should strictly adhere to all the factors of prayer practiced by the messenger or leader. He should not omit any of these without good reason.
(459 O you who believe, obey God and obey the messenger, and those in authority amongst you. But if you dispute in any matter, then you shall refer it to God and His messenger if you believe in God and the Last Day. That is better and more suitable for knowing.)
Rules pertaining to prayer
-
443 O you who believe, do not approach the communion while you are intoxicated, until you know what you are saying.
-
984 And do not commune over any of them who have died, nor stand at their grave. They have rejected God and His messenger and died while they were wicked.
3.1722 Do not make with God another god, or you will find yourself disgraced, abandoned.
-
17110 And do not be too loud in making your communion, nor too quite; but seek a path in between.
-
18110 "I am but a human being like you, being inspired that your god is One god. So whoever looks forward to meeting his Lord, then let him do good works and not set up any partner in the service of his Lord."
-
7218 And the temples are for God, so do not call on anyone alongside God.
Acts which justify the breaking of prayer
-
4101 And if you go forth in the land, then there is no harm that you shorten from the communion, if you fear that the disbelievers will try you. The disbelievers are to you a clear enemy.
-
2238 If you are in a state of fear, then you may do so ( pray) while walking or riding. If you become secure, then remember God as He has taught you what you did not know.
The Two daily prayers
The observance of prayers two times daily is obligatory upon all submitters of God - male and female. The two compulsory prayers are
- Morning prayer ( Dawn) 2. Evening prayer ( Sunset )
Additional prayers
Outside of the obligatory prayers morning and evening, one can pray at anytime of the day or night. Daniel prayed three times a day in his bedroom. Nehemiah prayed while he was working several times he uttered quick, impromptu prayers under his breath when a crises arose. Jesus also prayed often- from early morning to late at night ( God charged him with the prayer as long as he was alive 1931).Sometimes God tests us just to see if we will implore.
(642 And We have sent others to nations before you. We then took them with adversity and hardship, perhaps they would implore.
643 If only they had implored when Our punishment came to them; but their hearts hardened, and the devil adorned for them what they used to do.
94 And We do not send a prophet to any town, except afterwards We would afflict its people with hardship and adversity that they may implore.)Too much praying?
While one can pray at any time outside of the obligatory morning and evening prayers, even unceasingly, it is to be done reverently and meaningfully. Jesus warned about idly and endlessly repeating empty phrases in prayer (Matt. 67).
(2119 And to Him is whoever is in the heavens and in the Earth. And those who are near Him are not too proud to serve Him, nor do they complain.
2120 They glorify in the night and the day, they do not cease.)
Which way do I pray?
One prays facing the Sacred temple in Mecca.
Congregational prayers
Conditions for the validity of congregational prayers.
-
The one praying must be a submitter.
-
The one praying must be sane and sober.
-
The follower must, together with his intention for praer intend that he is keeping prayer behind the leader.
-
The place of the leader and the follower should be the same.
If the distance between the leader and the follower is so much that two rows of submitters could be accommodated, the place of the leader and follower will not be considered as being the same, and the congregation will not be valid. The distance between leader and follower should not be so great that two rows of worshippers could be accommodated in the intervening space( I.e. between leader and follower).
- Validity of the leaders prayer.
For the prayer of the Congregation to be valide it is necessary that the prayer of the leader be valid. If for some reason the prayer of the leader becomes null, the prayer of the congregation will likewise be nullified.
- The follower must not be in front of the leader.
If the heels of the follower are ahead of the heels of the leader it will be considered that the follower is in front of the leader, and the congregation will not be valid.
- Association in prayer.
Besides the reading, the follower should closely follow the leader in all the postures of prayer. The follower should fulfil the various postures of prayer either with the leader or immediately after the leadr, e.g. the follower kneels, prostrates, etc. together with the leader or he enters these positions after the leader had entered them.
( n.b. Should the follower enter any position before the leader, he should remain in that position until the leader also obtains that position.)
Once the leader has entered that position and the follower is still holding the same posture, the condition of association is fulfilled, e.g. the follower went into kneeling before the leader. For the validity of the followers prayer it is necessary that he prolong his kneeling until the leader meets up with him.
8.Equivalence of State of leader and follower.
The state of the follower should be lesser or equal to that of the leader. The state of the follower must not be higher than that of the leader.

just out of curiosity, how did you come up with this method of prayer?
-
hi anto,
could you explain what the correct interpetation of 2238 should be?
also if i live where there is continual daylight, are there specific times i should make salat?
similarily what if i live where there is continual darkness? am i obliged to make salat at all?
thanks

dc2From my understanding of 2238 is this
2238 Get down upon your knees and pray to God day in and day out.
Pray dawn before sunrise and evening at sunset untill it has become completly dark...
Is there anywere there is eternal daylight ?
God erases the sign of the day and replaces it with the sign of the night...
just out of curiosity, how did you come up with this method of prayer?
There are parts of prayer ( salat) which are absolute proof. If any of these parts are not fulfilled, the prayer is rendered null or void. And thus must be repeated.
- After making intention for prayer to say
"Praise be to God who has not taken a son, nor does He have a partner in sovereignty, nor does He have a ally out of weakness."
(17 110-111 And do not be too loud in keeping your prayer, nor too quite; but seek a path in between. And say "Praise be to God who has not taken a son, nor does He have a partner in sovereignty, nor does He have an ally out of weakness." )
- To pray to God. Exampleto say "My Lord, forgive and have mercy, and you are the most merciful." 7128
(1082 Therefore, you shall pray to your Lord ??)
- The posture of prostration
( 4102 And if you are with them and you keep the prayers for them, then let a group ( ?unit one? )from amongst them stand with you and let them bring their weapons; and when they have prostrated then let them stand guard from behind; and let a group (?unit two?)who has not yet prayed come and pray with you, and let them be wary and let them bring their weapons with them.
The strong proofs of prayer
The following parts of prayer are proof but of a lesser category than the absolute proof factors
- To fulfill the various constituent parts ( I.e. the absolute proofs and the strong proof parts) in their appropriate order as described in the section dealing with the method of prayer.
(2277 O you who believe, kneel and prostrate and serve your Lord and do good that you may succeed.)
- To supplicate further after the prostration.
(5040 And glorify Him after prostrating.)
- To pray while in the kneeling posture.
(243 and kneel with those who kneel.)
( 2238 Get down upon your knees and pray to God day in and day out.)
( 3824 And David guessed that We had tested him, so he sought forgiveness from his Lord, and fell down kneeling, and repented.)- To fulfill all parts of the prayer with dignity and respect- without any haste.
Peace,
( Im working on my update now " without all the extra stuff " Lord willin I post it soon.)

in the antartica
Peace dc2,
You are obligated to pray at the prescribed times.
So that would be dawn and evening at sunset, every six months living in antartica...
Antarctica is the coldest and most desolate place on Earth, a continent twice as big as Australia, with the South Pole in the centre. Imagine being in a place where the sun never rises in winter - it is dark for six months of the year, with blizzards and freezing winds that blow at over 100km/h. The temperature can drop to an incredibly cold 89 degrees below zero! In summer it doesn?t get much warmer, but the sun stays in the sky for the entire six months. This means the Antarctic summer is one long continuous day.
Peace

salam. when i see a post with long winded explanations of what is essentially simple verses, i become doubtful of the post.
allah did not need ten pages of post to give us instruction on how and when to pray. if allah says pray at sunset, then pray at sunset. to claim allah says pray at sunset, and then say pray at 545, is misleading and false. allah says pray at sunset, so be it.
to change allah's word, and add 545, is innovation and addition, both of which are prohibited actions with specific punishments from allah. there is wisdom in going only just as far as allah goes, AND NO FURTHER. asking, what does allah mean by this, is described as the comment of an unbeliever. everyone can judge sunset for themselves.
if allah says, pray at sunset, i pray at sunset. if a person asks a messenger, how shall i pray, and the messenger tells them, like this pray you, rejecting the messenger is rejecting allah. allah's messenger said, like this pray you, and like this i do pray.
can allah consider these long pages of explanation to be addition to his word? yes he can. does allah prohibit adding to his word? yes he does. does allah condemn adding to his word? yes he does. why do people add to the word of allah?
allah is the way.
