Well see here's the thing Right, so there might be other hadith with incorrect prophecies etc. I have not come across any, but let's just say that there's three other hadiths with incorrect prophecies. That still doesn't change the fact that at least the hadiths discussed in this youtube video - all do exist, and all seem to be fairly correct. In sum, just three examples here

BEDOUINS COMPETING TO BUILD TALL BUILDINGS

    BUKHARI
    Volume 001, Book 002, Hadith Number 047.

Narated By Abu Huraira One day while the Prophet was sitting in the company of some people, (The angel) Gabriel came and asked, "What is faith?" Allah's Apostle replied, 'Faith is to believe in Allah, His angels, (the) meeting with Him, His Apostles, and to believe in Resurrection." Then he further asked, "What is Islam?" Allah's Apostle replied, "To worship Allah Alone and none else, to offer prayers perfectly to pay the compulsory charity (Zakat) and to observe fasts during the month of Ramadan." Then he further asked, "What is Ihsan (perfection)?" Allah's Apostle replied, "To worship Allah as if you see Him, and if you cannot achieve this state of devotion then you must consider that He is looking at you." Then he further asked, "When will the Hour be established?" Allah's Apostle replied, "The answerer has no better knowledge than the questioner. But I will inform you about its portents.

    1. When a slave (lady) gives birth to her master.
    2. When the shepherds of black camels start boasting and competing with others in the construction of higher buildings. And the Hour is one of five things which nobody knows except Allah.

Bedouins are competing to build tall buildings, just as the hadith says http//study.grissomhome.com/wordpress/?p=25

    MASS KILLING
    Volume 9, Book 88, Number 183
    Narrated Abu Huraira
The Prophet said, "Time will pass rapidly, good deeds will decrease, miserliness will be thrown (in the hearts of the people) afflictions will appear and there will be much 'Al-Harj." They said, "O Allah's Apostle! What is "Al-Harj?" He said, "Killing! Killing!" (See Hadith No. 63, Vol.

Great cities will be ruined and it will be as if they had not existed the day before.(Al-Muttaqi al-Hindi, Al-Burhan fi Alamat al-Mahdi Akhir al-Zaman)

Take a look at the 20th century two world wars, a number of smaller wars such as vietnam, korea etc, hiroshima and nagasaki, the current situation in Iraq etc - wars have always existed but thanks to modern technology killing masses is much easier now, and really is happening.

    OPEN UNLAWFUL SEX

    Volume 8, Book 82, Number 800i

Narrated Anas I will narrate to you a narration which nobody will narrate to you after me. I heard that form the Prophet. I heard the Prophet saying, "The Hour sill not be established" or said "From among the portents of the Hour is that the religious knowledge will betaken away (by the death of religious Scholars) and general ignorance (of religion) will appear; and the drinking of alcoholic drinks will be very common, and (open) illegal sexual intercourse will prevail, and men will decrease in number while women will increase so much so that, for fifty women there will only be one man to look after them."

As for the above hadith, that part in bold pretty much describes our current day state of affairs. Homosexuality is illegal sexual intercourse - San Francisco and Sydney are famous for their open day ?Gay Liberation ? celebrations. As for adultery - well you guys ever heard of "cuckold"? That's a concept which exists today to. Nudist colonies , escort agencies, pornography , teenage pregnancies are considered part of the ?modern generation.? for e.g. in India, the process of "weternization" involves incorporating these things into your lifestyle. Furthermore , with each generation , the level and availability of lewdness is increasing ; for example , pornography is available in our homes on TV and the Internet thus affecting the mindset of our children from an early age. Homosexuality is gaining support throughout many parts of the world. Some advocates of the Gay movement are claiming that they are born gay.

The youtube video I pasted initially discussed around 7 minor signs of the day of judgement, and ALL of them seem to be true. This really makes me take the hadith more seriously than before. I'm not saying all hadith are correct, Allah knows best - but I mean how can I ignore these prophecies? How can I ignore the fact that what's happening nowadays has been in these books for centuries that have passed?

    Salaam
I have heard many a Christian missionary telling all the above prophesies and I think they mentioned the book of revalation not hadith.
    peace

            Salaam,
belalhammad quoted this in another thread,

Allah! There is no Allah but Hethe Living, the Self-Subsisting Eternal. (2) It is He Who sent down to thee (step by step), in truth, the Book confirming what went before it; and He sent down the Torah (Of Moses) and the Gospel (of Jesus) (3) Before this as a guide to mankind, and He sent down the Criterion (of judgment between right and wrong). Then those who reject Faith in the Signs of Allah will suffer the severest chastisement and Allah is Exalted in Might, Lord of Retribution. (3-4)

So I would search in those books rather than waste my time on hadiths and you would also recognise the parables of Jesus which are quoted as hadith.
            Good Luck peace

I am not aware of the same prophecies being in the christian texts. If Bukhari cheated and bummed these prophecies out of the christian texts, then these prophecies must be there, assuming what you're saying is correct. Since you said you know of the same exact prophecies being in the chrisitan texts, I assume you must have read and verified for yourself that these prophecies are actually there right? Then please do me a favor and just tell me exactly where they are.

Actually, the prophecy about the bedouins competing to build tall buildings - can you at least just find me that one in the christian texts. Forget the rest for now. Thanks.

All these claim to make prophecies. When you look a it carefully these "prophecies" are so general that it it almost inevitable that something alike will not happen someday in the future. It is ridiculous to base ones faith on because of such. GOD Bless!

Well the above might be general, I don't know - but as far as the hadiths I'm discussing here, some of them are pretty darn specific, like the one about bedouins COMPETING to build tall buildings, it doens't get more specific than that really.

JK- Can you quote the exact hadith which mentions that please? Besides that people in the past like the pharaohs built pyramids which were huge so there was already competition of tall buildings. Thus this prophecy is no miracle and well within probability. GOD Bless!

I've quoted it about 3 times on this thread already! Anyway here you go

                      BUKHARI
                      Volume 001, Book 002, Hadith Number 047.

The Prophet then recited "Verily, with Allah (Alone) is the knowledge of the Hour..." (31. 34) Then that man (Gabriel) left and the Prophet asked his companions to call him back, but they could not see him. Then the Prophet said, "That was Gabriel who came to teach the people their religion." Abu 'Abdullah said He (the Prophet) considered all that as a part of faith.

Actually you can find a similar prophecies by Raam in Bhagavadgheeta ... So I would suggest you do your homework and do not depend on others to search for you.
All I know is that the sign of the approaching hour is in the Quran and that is the latest version.

Well if you read this thread you'd realize that I did my homework and am certainly not depending on you to do mine. But I am (maybe mistakenly) expecting you to do yours. Since you say you've "heard" christian missionaries quoting the above prophecies what you need to do is find where in the chrisitan texts they have these prophecies. For e.g. the hadith about the bedouins competing to build tall buildings, let's take that one for now. Did you here the christian missionaries voice that prophecy ? And if so did you check if it was indeed in the christian texts, or maybe THEY were cheating off bukhari ? And if you did indeed check, so did you find it in the christian texts ? And if not then why did you say that you heard these prophecies from christian missionaries? Looking forward to your answer.

JK- Ok this is no specific prophecy at all. 1 can also happen any time. Sure a day could come when a certain region could get slaves and the neborn free themselves and enslave their parents because they treated them harshly. This cycle can happen over and over. As to no 2 are the Arabs the only ones who possess camels? Egypt has camels too. So this could well be referring to the camel shepherds of Egypt. Surely Arabs knew about the egyptians and their tall buildings so this is no specific prophecy. GOD Bless!

Do a Google search for 'end of the world prophecies' and you would find all the sources including the Christian ones in detail.
Btw. there is one modern prophecy which says that there will be a gathering of world leaders at the greatest show on earth and straight after that there will be chaos, so I am watching the China Olympics, which everyone is saying is the most spectactular show, so get ready, elektro

Yeah the Egyptians have camels too as does the UAE which is the hotspot of skyscraper construction. Either way, the prophecy came true. As for the Arabs surely knowing about the egyptians and their tall buildings, what tall buildings ? Skyscrapers weren't around till like earlier this century, that too in the states. "Bedouins will compete to build tall buildings" and whats happening in the UAE rite now - I mean come on to deny the similarity is a little too ignorant don't you think ? That's like saying the prophecy in the first few ayahs of Surah Rum are a coincidence.

And it's not just this one hadith or prophecy - check out the youtube video I posted in my first message here.

I can do a google search for "endoftimes" too but thats not the point here. Please answer my questions in my post above, which I'm repasting here for your benefit

"Well if you read this thread you'd realize that I did my homework and am certainly not depending on you to do mine.

For this particular one I told you that actully there is a similar prophecies by Raam in Bhagavadgheeta, So please let me watch the greatest show on earth b4 the chaos.
Now let me ask what Prophesies have got to do with obeying God and the messenger? The Prophet denies knowing the future in the Qura'an which should be enough to discard any hadiths pretending to be of the Prophet prophesying the future. Only Allah knows when the hour is due.
You have wasted too much time on hadiths; go and spend time on reading the Quran and you would be obeying the messenger.
I will not oblige you with another response on this subject.

                                      Peace "dbrowser",

JK- MAN are pyramids not tall buildings? Ocourse they are. The hadith doesnt specifically say "skyscrapers" does it? So this hadith can apply to any tall building and there is probably not a people in the world who one day or another wont try to build larger and larger buildings. This is something which has always fasinated humans as one can see from the Egyptians. So the only ignorant thing would be to accept this as a significant prophecy. GOD Bless!

ok so lemme get this straight You come along, make a statement that you've heard these prophecies from christian missionaries. Then when I ask you to point me to the source, you say you've heard it from Raam. Then when I re-request you to point me to the source of your original claim, you runaway ? What's up with all the vagueness and not specifying your source? Wait do you even HAVE a base for everything you just said?

When someone makes a bunch of claims but when they're asked about the source they really don't have any, it means their words are baseless.

And yes please don't oblige me with any of your "answers", that really is a favor coz I'd rather not waste my time reading and responding to baselessness.
