I caught these gems in another thread

are you really saying there is only 1 way to do salat?

the Quran teaches that true prayer is the result ( not method ) of an intimate relationship with the Lord

So is it possible that each individual would come up with their own times and methods of practicing Salat naturally based on their relationship with Allah? Is there anything in the Qu'ran that backs this up or contradicts it? What are the definite commands from Allah for Salat based on the Qu'ran?

Each individual can find their own method of prayer. However, the prayer times is established and must be obseverd at the proper times...

Based on Quran, here are the definat commands. There are parts of the salat ( prayer ) which are absolute proof...There are two types of delegation. Methods delegation and delegation focused on results...

When focusing on results it gives people a choice of method and makes them responsible for results. Like this you become your own boss, governed by a conscience that contains the commitment to agreed upon desired results. But it also releases your creative energies toward doin whatever is necessary in harmony with correct principles to acheive those desired results...

Here are the definat commands for salat in Quran and the parts of prayer that are absoulut proof and a salat performance agreement, focused on results not methods ( the basics of what u need to know, simple )

        Performance Agreement ( Salat/prayer )

        Desired Results -

        1. Pray dawn and evening at sunset during the twilight. Start the evening prayers at sunset until it has become completely dark; 11 114, 1778

        Guidelines -

        1. 443 O you who believe, do not approach the communion ( prayers) while you are intoxicated, until you know what you are saying.

        2. 984 And do not commune ( pray) over any of them who have died, nor stand at their grave. They have rejected God and His messenger and died while they were wicked.

        3. 17110 And do not be too loud in making your communion ( prayers ), nor too quite; but seek a path in between.

        Accountabilitys-

        1.Preperation -

56 O you who believe, if you rise to hold the communion ( prayers ), then wash your faces and your hands up to the elbows, and wipe your heads and your feet to the ankles; and if you have had intercourse, then you shall bathe. And if you are ill, or traveling, or you have excreted feces, or you have had sexual contact with the women, and you cannot not find water, then you shall select from the clean soil; you shall wipe your faces and your hands with it. God does not want to place any hardship on you, but He wants to cleanse you and to complete His blessings upon you that you may be appreciative.

        2.Focal point-

2125 And you shall take from the situation of Abraham for communion ( prayer ).

        1. Affirmaton-

17111 And say ?Praise be to God who has not taken a son, nor does He have a partner in sovereignty, nor does He have an ally out of weakness.?

        1. The Prayers

You shall pray to your Lord?. 108 2,,,

Example to say "My Lord, forgive and have mercy; and You are the most merciful.?

        5.Completion-

        (1)
4103 So, when you are done keeping the prayers, then remember God while standing, or sitting, or on your sides. So, when you are relieved, then keep up the prayers. Indeed, the prayers for the believers becomes a timed schedule.

        (2)
6210 Then, once the communion is complete, you shall disperse through the land and seek God's provisions, and remember God frequently that you may succeed.

        Consequences

        Rewards-

2277 Those who believe and do good works, and uphold the communion, and contribute towards betterment; they will have their rewards with their Lord and there is no fear over them nor will they grieve.

4162 But those of them who are firm in knowledge, as well as the believers, they believe in what was sent down to you and what was sent down before you; and those who uphold the communion, and those who contribute towards betterment, and those who believe in God and the Last Day; to these We will give them their reward greatly.

7170 As for those who adhere to the Scripture, and they uphold the communion; We will not waste the reward of the righteous.

11114 And you shall hold the communion at the two edges of the day, during the near parts of the night. The good deeds take away the bad. This is a reminder to those who remember.

1322 And those who are patient seeking their Lord?s direction; and they uphold the communion, and they spend from what We bestowed upon them secretly and openly, and they counter sin with good; these will have an excellent abode.

2945 Recite what is inspired to you of the Scripture, and hold the communion, for the communion prohibits evil and vice; but certainly the remembrance of God is the greatest. God knows everything you do.

3529 Surely, those who recite God?s Scripture, and uphold the communion, and spend secretly and openly from what We have provided them, they are seeking a trade that can never lose.

        Punishment-

7441 About the criminals.7442 ?What has caused you to be in the scorching heat??7443 They said ?We were not of those who communed.?

954 And what prevented what they would spend from being accepted from them except that they rejected God and His messenger, and they do not attend the communion except lazily, and they do not spend except unwillingly.

        Hope this helps peace

          Peace,

afridi, I am a sad to say that I have been over that website dozens of times, and it just doesn't make sense to me. When I first found it I was excited because I thought "those Submission people, their 5 prayers thing is kinda fishy in Qu'ran, but these guys, they know their stuff!" But the more I looked at 2238 the more uncertain i became. The Biblical references supporting it are novel but the Qu'ran supercedes previous revelations and the rites God enjoins on His slaves are different from nation to nation. So, I couldn't figure it out. Anthony's list though makes it pretty clear. I am coming from Sunni "Islam" so I have a "missed Salat paranoia" to get over, I am afraid if I only pray twice when three are required then maybe I will go to Hell! And the Qu'ran is clear on so much else, you think it'd be clear on salat, and it is; no need to wrangle another salat time out of 2238. I just feel like doing only two is the "easy-way-out" and Im scared of hellfire. but religion isn't made to be difficult. praise God!

          peace.

            peace,

This is from my understanding of 2238.

" And get down upon your kneez and pray to God, day in and day out."

" And get down upon your kneez and pray to God daily."

Whatever you do or how ever many times u pray, do not turn away those who go to meet their Lord dawn and dusk, seeking His precence...And whatever you put forth for yourself you will find it with God. jedi

            peace

              Peace AnthonyWallace

Informative post. I like the simple way you laid it out. It is sometimes better to see things like that just to the point without any extra padding. Your post came across like a science report. Makes sense.

              Be good.
