Yes, this is a good book. I had a Sudanese teacher who had a small verson of it (the book was not very big) but it was a very good book and explained things like ababeel/ababeed etc, and other words and their unusual forms not easily found or explained well in other dictionaries. I do not have a copy of it however. I forgot what it was fully called until today. Thanks.

      Godbless,
      Anwar

I remember being somewhat offended by the title and how gharib and Quran could be mentioned in the same sentence.

        Peace Wakas,

I haven't seen the book online. At $20 it is pretty cheap for 579 pages. It would probably cost more than this to print it if it is available online.

        Peace,

        Ayman

          peace all,

Sister Samia gave me this link
          http//www.shamela.ws/old_site/open.php?cat=5&book=1887

So it seems it is available online. It is a RAR file which I opened, to discover it is a BOK file. Never heard of such a file type.

Tried searching how to open/view such a file and didn't find much.

It seems you may have to use it through their software
          http//islamport.com/ms.html

Anyone know? The RAR file had this text with it

          bok .
          .

I was asking because if it is not available online, StudyQuran will put it online. As a tool, but also to aid translation if it is attempted.

                  peace Ayman,

Thanks. I have updated the www.studyquran.org website with the link.

I have been sent one page of an English translation. If the work becomes regular, I will create a website for it and make it public.
