Do Not follow thou the vain desires of such as treat Our Verses as falsehoods

But those who believe and work deeds of righteousness, and believe in the (Revelation) sent down to Muhammad-for it is the Truth from their Lord He will remove from them their ills and improve their condition (47-2)

This because those who are disblelievers follow falsehood, while those who are believers follow the Truth from their Lord Thus does Allah set forth for men their lessons by similitudes. (47-3)

                      )ISNA INCORRECT Hijri Dates

On August 1, 2007 ISNA Fiqh Council (ISNA FC) changed its rules for Ramadan and Eidain again. Now ISNA Islamic calendar dates are by ? the conjunction must take place before sunset in Makkah and moonset after sunset in Makkah? (Both calculations rejected the visible Hilal). The Muslim organizations, groups and some ME countries have dispensed with the Hilal-sighting requirement. They argue ?There is no need for the Muslims to resort to actual sighting.? Saudi Dates of Ramadan, Eidain and Hajj
Saudi dates are not fixed by the crescent moon seen in Makka. Since 1999 (1420AH) Saudi first date of Ramadan, etc. begins at sunset of the 29th day if

                      2. The moon sets after the sun (in Makka).

ISNA followed Saudi dates for decades and has finally discarded the moon-sighting in the USA. Islamic Hijri dates published in the ISNA calendar and on the web of Mr. Khalid Shaukat (www.moonsighting.com) copy the Saudi dates and are incorrect. For correct dates (always fixed by Hilal in the US go to www.Islamicmoon.com.

CFCO Intl. moon-watch ensures that a Hilal is actually observed within the US.

                      Fist Fights and Blame Games?

The yearly season for fistfights among the Muslims begins from Ramadan and ends with Muharram. The fasting month starts and Eids celebrated on 4 -5 different solar dates and the world laughs. But everyone blames the others for the mess.

Allah and His Messenger (S) have provided clear guidance of Ahilla (waxing crescent moons) for us to start / end the Islamic month. That is how the Muslims have determined the beginning of an Islamic month for fifteen centuries.

According to the links where you can witness the Moon yourself, when should we start fasting?

sorry i think the moon sighting is not the right method, lets take the prophet birth day for example it rotate freely and never comes in same season same apply to ramadan and haaj and eids.

if you was born on feb 20 and it was first hijra next year it should fall same month on 20 feb and same season.

                          Peace

Keeping up with both Sun and Moon
If the Jewish calendar only followed the Moon, it would get quickly out of step with the seasons, which follow the cycle of the Sun--the holidays would migrate and you might get Passover in the fall, Rosh Hashanah in the spring, Chanukkah in mid-summer. That is what happens in the Moslem calendar, which only follows the moon.
Consider the month of Ramadan, when observant Moslems fast from sunrise to sundown. Ramadan this year was in early winter--the best time, because days are short, nights are long, your fasts are short too and you do not get too thirsty from heat. But wait 15 years! Then Ramadan will have migrated to mid-summer, when days are at their longest, the heat makes you quite thirsty (especially in countries like Arabia and Egypt), and fasting all day long is a much greater ordeal.

But the ancient Babylonians found a way to keep up with both the moon and the sun. Their priests were excellent astronomers--helped, no doubt, by the clear skies in a country perched at the edge of the desert.

It is He Who made the sun to be a shining glory and the moon to be a light (of beauty), and measured out stages for it that ye might know the number of years and the count (of time). No wise did Allah create this but in truth and righteousness. (Thus) doth He explain His Signs in detail, for those who understand. (10-5)

This Sunday is Ramadan's first full day. I hope our fasting will improve our character and guide us to be more righteous and God-concious people.
                                      Peace,
