anthony - could you list the verse please- thanks.

2187 It has been made lawful for you during the night of fasting to approach your women sexually. They are a garment for you and you are a garment for them. God knows that you used to betray your souls so He has accepted your repentance, and forgiven you; now you may approach them and seek what God has written for you. And you may eat and drink until the white thread is distinct from the black thread of dawn; then you shall complete the fast until night; and do not approach them while you are devoted in the temples. These are God?s boundaries, so do not transgress them. It is thus that God makes His revelations clear to the people that they may be righteous.

      Peace Anthony,

      You are making great progress.

Now compare your translation with 971 which says that the great reading was sent down in the night of measure

      1. We have sent it down in the night of measure.

Now there is a contradiction between your translation of 2185 and what 971 is saying.

Most people brush off this contradiction and instead continue to have faith in their traditions and their completely arbitrary and meaningless so-called Ramadan month. Instead, they should realize that there is an error in how 2185 is translated. Looking at Classical Arabic dictionaries, one can see that the original meaning of the word "shahr" is "full-moon" and this meaning fits perfectly in all the occurences of the word "shahr" in the great reading. So now we know that 2185 is talking about an event that can be witnessed and not a vague month with a meaningless name. The "red hot full-moon" is a well known cosmic event that is the first full-moon after the summer solstice (see my avatar). It is the easiest cosmic phenomenon to witness in the entire year in the entire night sky anywhere around the world.

      Peace,

      Ayman

      peace

il get back later, God willin.........still studyin it.......thnx 4 da info...

      peace

"RMDh" = "extreme/intense/blazing heat; scorching heat"

        Peace.

        Peace

        NO....NO nope.....NO brickwall......... tempt

        LET GOD TELL US
        Extreme and intense Heat is

        Part of 9-81 (&#65279

Those who were left behind rejoiced in their inaction behind the back of the Messenger of Allah they hated to strive and fight with their goods and their persons, in the Cause of Allah they said "Go not forth in the heat. Say "The fire of Hell is fiercer in heat." If only they could understand! (9-81)

Why God did not use the Word Ramadan Instead of "Har" or "Al-Har"? brickwall

        (&#65279
Nor are the (chilly) shade and the extreme heat of the sun (35-21)

Why again God ignored the use of Rammadan instead of "Harror" brickwall

        (&#65279

It is Allah who made out of the things He created, some things to give you shade; of the hills He made some for your shelter; He made you garments to protect you from heat, and coats of mail to protect you from your (mutual) violence. Thus does He complete his favours on you, that ye may surrender to His will (in Islam). (16-81)

Heat is "Har" and never the Word Rammadan. yes

        (&#65279
Therefore do I warn you of a Fire blazing fiercely; (92-14)

        (&#65279
By no means! For it would be the blazing Heat of Hell! (70-15)

NOW, Where is Your and Ayman and every body who claim Rammadan to mean Heat, proof FROM QURAN. OTHERWISE, you are Misleading People From the TRue Meaning of Quranic Words.

          Salaaman Anthony,

I am also on the same boat brother... yes

It says eat at night untill the break of dawn/ the first light...

Personally, I dont break my fast at sunset ( for it is still light at sunset and also sunset is the time for evening prayer not eating) for I fear of breaking the fast early, but I break it when it is completely dark/ when I can see a planet or star in the sky. This way I know that I broke my fast at " night" and not at twilight or early, ect...

night = the period from sunset to dawn esp. the dark hours...

          peace

Layl has been described in detail in AlQuraan as in
106 (night and day are mukhtalif),
1712 (very clear definition of Layl and Nahaar),
3637 (another very clear definition of Layl)

But unfortunately, most of the people break their fast near to end. I think this has been planned and spread in Muslims to make their fast void. And they follow.

May Allah guide us all towards the correct path.

          Regards,

I dont mean to get off topic or nuthin but I have a ? and would like to know what yall think and also for us not to get off topic either...

But to help me wit this translation

O.k. we will use the word " month/ lets say 30 days"

what if a person fast for lets say 15 days and then on the 16th day he gets sick or something were he has to break the fast or he broke the fast unintentionaly ect... Do you think that he would have to only make up for that 1 day missed in another month or would he have to start the whole fast over beginng with the next month and then complete that whole month in order to complete a full term?

what i am seeing cant really put it in words without probly adding something ect... its like fast the whole month of Rahmadan, but if ill then fast the whole month of sawall ect...

or is it just make up for the days u missed in the other months...

Yes, it is; either by fasting the same days that you breakfast or by feeding Poor people.

so do u think it could be somethin like this

Whoever is ill or traveling , then " finish" during different times/months...

                      peace

                        It would translate as follow
by Counting (fa-3edat) from (min) days (Iyam) Later (Okar).

Which means count the days that you missed fasting, and then make it up Later by fasting the same number of days you missed.

                        Peace

I'm not completely sure if "shahr" refers to the full moon itself - I haven't completely finished researching the issue

                            Peace,

I too have started researching this issue.

4615...and the weaning of him is thirty (30) months, till when he attains full strength and reaches forty years...

The correlation between months and years above is clear.

Referencing "ramadhan" as it's own "month" isn't based on the reading, especially considering the fact that we have no evidence that there was a month named "Ramadhan" during Mohammed's lifetime.

"RMDh" = "extreme/intense/blazing heat; scorching heat"

Then what was the name of the month; shall we call it -- August?

                            au?gust (? gust&#8242
                            adjective

                            1. inspiring awe and reverence; imposing and magnificent
                            2. worthy of respect because of age and dignity, high position, etc.; venerable

"shahru ramadhan" is not a "month", and nowhere in al-Qur'an does it say to fast for a "whole month".

492...so who does not find, so fasting two months following each other

Therefore, fast a ?whole month? then fast another ?whole month? is in Quran.
                            .
                            Peace

I was talking about during "shahru ramadhan", not during other periods.

If you base the meaning of "shahr" as "month", there not enough information in al-Qur'an to determine exactly when this month begins, exactly how long it lasts, and what are the signs to signify the exact dates. We're not talking about generally fasting/abstaining, we're talking about "shahru ramadhan".

                                  Peace.

I think it is better to say we have not reached upto the correct aayat or we have not yet clarified that part by Allah.
Because AlQuraan is a complete book with details.

                                      Hello

It is clarified if you translate shahru and ramadhan correctly.

                                      Paix.

                                        Peace,

                                        Ayman

I dont see too much contradiction. See below

The Quran was sent down the hottest measure of time...

the quran was sent down the Rahmadan measure of time...

( month = measure of time/moon/ period ect...)

The Quran was sent down the Scorching moon...

the quran was sent down the scorching month...

                                          a sorching period...

                                          a scorching 30 days...

                                          ect......

The number of months in the sight of Allah is twelve (in a year)- so ordained by him the day he created the heavens and the earth; of them four are sacred that is the straight usage. So wrong not yourselves therein, and fight the Pagans all together as they fight you all together. But know that Allah is with those who restrain themselves. (36).

Verily the transposing (of a prohibited month) is an addition to unbelief the unbelievers are led to wrong thereby for they make it lawful one year, and forbidden another year, in order to adjust the number of months forbidden by Allah and make such forbidden ones lawful. The evil of their course seems pleasing to them. But Allah guideth not those who reject faith (37).

I think the islamic calender made by khalifa umar is based on this aya that is why the months were released from the seasons.
