The daily prayers

so if true prayer is the result of an intimate (and therefore personal) relationship with the Lord, then aren't the rest of the details kinda pointless? those who have a relationship with GOD will pray to GOD the "correct way" with or without any scriptures or "absolute proofs" from anthonywallace, right?
I think what I'm saying is; in compiling these "rules" and "guidelines" aren't you SKIPPING a major step in the establishment of prayer, which is "an intimate relationship" with the LORD?
No, not really...Some people just dont know. And thus need clarity.
If true prayer is the result of a intamate relationship wit the Lord, then wouldnt the rest of the details about prayer be kinda pointless to mention in Quran also?
salam. when i see a post with long winded explanations of what is essentially simple verses, i become doubtful of the post.
allah did not need ten pages of post to give us instruction on how and when to pray. if allah says pray at sunset, then pray at sunset. to claim allah says pray at sunset, and then say pray at 545, is misleading and false. allah says pray at sunset, so be it.
to change allah's word, and add 545, is innovation and addition, both of which are prohibited actions with specific punishments from allah. there is wisdom in going only just as far as allah goes, AND NO FURTHER. asking, what does allah mean by this, is described as the comment of an unbeliever. everyone can judge sunset for themselves.
if allah says, pray at sunset, i pray at sunset. if a person asks a messenger, how shall i pray, and the messenger tells them, like this pray you, rejecting the messenger is rejecting allah. allah's messenger said, like this pray you, and like this i do pray.
can allah consider these long pages of explanation to be addition to his word? yes he can. does allah prohibit adding to his word? yes he does. does allah condemn adding to his word? yes he does. why do people add to the word of allah?
allah is the way.
To you is your deeds and to me is mines. Why do you add to the word of Allah?
Did I say pray at 545 instead of sunset? You just wont something to dispute about. I brought you all the proofs and the Quran and also the previous Scripture to confirmn whatever I am teaching, regardless how many pages it is. And if it takes ten pages to make clear for one, then thats what it takes.
Im not just rantin like you speakin from ur own opinion...You can keep ur remarks to self, just like u basically tellin me to keep mines to self...So if you are doubful of my post, then its best that u just stay away from me. If prayer was so simple as u all claim then why are u still so confused and doubful about it??? confused And why did u even click on my post?
And you should pray like this " My Lord, forgive and have mercy; and You are the Most Merciful."
And how am I addin to the word of God? Gather your evedence then and judge me, and be surre that ur evedence dont come against you.

allah is the way.
O people, if you are in doubt of my system, then I do not serve those that you serve besides God. But I serve God; the One who will terminate your lives; and I have been commanded to be of the believers.
O people, the truth has come to you from your Lord, so whosoever is guided is being guided for himself, and whosoever is misguided will remain so, and I am not a caretaker over you.

Prayer is an expression of an intimate relationship with our Lord, who makes his own love and resources available to us.
Proofs
( Mark 135 The next morning Jesus awoke long before daybreak and went out alone into the wilderness to pray.)Jesus taught his disciples and the Quran teaches that true prayer is the result of an intimate relationship with the Lord and includes a dependency for daily needs, commitment to obedience, and forgiveness of sin,
Proofs
( Matthew 69 You should pray like this
"Our Lord in heaven, help us to honor your name. Come and set up your Kingdom. Give us each day the food we need. Forgive our sins, as we forgive those who has done wrong to us. And lead us not into temptation ,But protect us from evil."
2104 O you who believe, do not say ?Shepherd us,? but say ?Be patient with us,? and listen. For the rejecters is a painful retribution.
20114 Then High above all is God, the King, the True. And do not be hasty with the Qur?an before its inspiration is completed to you, and say ?My Lord, increase my knowledge.?
2393-94 Say "My Lord, if You show me what they are promised." "My Lord, then do not leave me amongst the wicked people."
23118 Say "My Lord, forgive and have mercy, and you are the best of those who are merciful."
"But most people dont know!" !

You have amnesia. WHAT DETAILS? The Qu'ran does talk about prayer but you are taking it waaaaaaaaay too far. Those details you are making up arre not in there! Most of those verses have nothing to do with prayer!!!! You are contradicting yourself, the Qu'ran, the previous scriptures, and logic itself. We have established that 2238 does not mean "Get on your 'kneez' and pray day in and day out;" actually it says NOTHING AT ALL LIKE THAT. Even if you insist that it is about prayer you have to accept that it says "WUSTA" meaning "BALANCED" or "MIDDLE" or any of it's other definitions, none of which are "DAY IN DAY OUT" or even "DAILY". "Kneez" is not in the Arabic nor is it even an English word. Can you provide one clear verse that says prayer is a "daily" ritual? It's more than a little offensive that you just completely change the words of the scripture around however you want to make them mean what you want them to mean. You want a detailed prescribed prayer ritual for salat and you're taking verses from wherever you want to make one up. You're taking them out of context, you're completely changing the words, you have no authority for this. A messenger delivers the message without changing it or that is a bad messenger, a messenger delivers the message without making up elaborate schemes based on their own desires out of the message. Do you even understand what you are doing?

What is wrong wit you people? And my translation of 2238 has changed
2238 And dedicate the prayers;whithout once missing. And praise and pray to God Almighty apologetically.
( And this is a clear verse saying that it is a daily ritual. Or do you deny that you are to pray daily? While answers to your questions have come to you. Or yet, prove that it isnt daily.)
Show me what I made up! Everything I said I have the verses to back it up. While you dont. You only guess. And you bein critical.
1074 Then, after him, We sent messengers to their own people, so they came to them with proofs. But they did not want to believe in what they had already denied beforehand. It is such that We stamp on the hearts of the transgressors.
Or I dont understand what im doing? Enliten me then... And why do people keep comin on here with questions about salat. And seeking knowledge about it? Or maby I should just shut up and keep it to myself? And perhaps obey you? Maby you can teach it better and more clear to the people? Or do you still want to continue to be in doubt about it.
Why do people ask questions about salat, then when the clarity come to them they dispute and dont believe.
Do not ask about things that if revealed to you will harm you.........
Advise has come to you from your Lord.
By Gods grace and Hid Mercy.

salam anthonywallace. please dont get offended when a person points out to you a problem. if you are too quick to take offence, why do you participate in a discussion? let me restate the issue. you claim
- Prayer to the believers becomes a timed schedule that prohibits evil and vice.
then you claim this exists in 4103 and 2945.
read the verse and tell me whichs words are arabic for "timed schedule"
i dont see the arabic words for "timed schedule" in there, where do you see this?
before you tell me means scheduled times, i know kitaba means written, and mawquta means times, waqt is time. we all know there is written in the quran the times for salat, not "timed schedule" but "written times" do you see the problem?
we are trying to assist you in coming as close as possible to the actual words of the verse. we want you to be cautious and not take liberties with the language.
allah is the truth.

You the one who cut into me wronge. You have now just pointed out a problem to me, witch I do take heed of. But you didnt point out a problem in your first post.
Yes, the majority of the verses I use in this is someone elses translation. I havent finished translating the Quran. If you have the correct translation then bring it forth. All ideas welcome.
I understand that the prayers is "ordained at precribed times."
Thanks for pointing that out. I will review that. And probly even change it in my update. Now u talkin to me.
Also I will change the question to " what is prayer and what does it do?" instead of " what is prayer?"
Then the claim to what you quoted will exist in 4103 and 2945 instead of only 4103. Will that make more sence to you? What is prayer? The prayers is ordained on the believers at appointed times.4103 What does prayer do? The prayers forbids evil and vice. 2945
All praises to God, Lord of the worlds.
And also I dont know Arabic.

salam anthonywallace. allah has been kind to me, i was raised in an arab country, i went to school in an arab country, i speak, read and write arabic. typing arabic on computer is difficult for me. i was blessed to have a father who studied in the finest arab universities, and had degrees in the arabic language. however, like my father, i am cautious when translating, and firm when the verse is clear.
nobody is born speaking arabic, we all learn it like everyone else. it is never too late to learn arabic. allah has blessed you with the sense to turn to the quran verses, when i see this i know you are on the right path, these are small adjustments, inshallah you will tell me too when to adjust when i make a mistake.
your being upset is not a bad thing, mashallah it is good, you care, it is because you care deeply that you are upset, this is the mark of a believer. only a believer gets very upset when something is wrong. unbelievers are stiff necked and try and be little firaon, they try and kill every musa that comes to them. you are not like this.
inshallah allah will increase your understanding like he increased mine. allah hu akbar.

11114 *And keep the prayers on the corners of the day. On parts touching upon the night, not far from the night. Thus, the righteousness cancels the sins. This is a reminder to the praising.
- This is a difficult verse to translate. The best and clearest meaning that I can give is
11114 And keep the prayers dawn and evening at sunset, during the twillights. Indeed, the righteousness cancels the sins. This is a reminder to the praising.

But I wouldnt put the words "dawn" and " evening" in my translation of Quran. For this verse. The meaning that I gave is only notes from my understanding of that verse and a summay of what this verse means ( to me).

Peace all,
My only intention is to make things as clear and straightfoward as possible for the people ( without all the confusion). If anyone would like to assist me in making this happen ( by providing correct meanings, words, suggestions, making corrections, sentance structure, changes, ect....) it is welcome.

1778 *Keep the prayers on the verge of sunset untill the nights blackness; and the dawn Quran. Indeed, the dawns Quran has been made official.
( Note This is a difficute verse to translate. Here is a possible meaning keep the evening prayers at sunset untill it has become completly dark )
