Enough is enough. Please stop accusing people of being rejectors and non believers. You are not the God's porte parole.

salam samia. i object to your comments. you are entitled your personal opinions. however you have a conflict of interest between your pesonal opinions and your position as moderator.

it is right and noble for allah to call those who rejects his quran, rejecters. i am of the way of allah, i do the same. i asked liquiddharma to say the shahada and he refused. clearly he is indeed a rejecter. a rejecter pretending to be a believer is misleading muslims, i see no good reason for your supporting a non believer.

        allah is the truth.

salam shohorabA and liquiddharma. substantiate your claims that believing women are not required to cover themselves with verses from the quran.

          allah exposes all falsehood.

yes your Highness. I will try to abide.

Quran does not say not to cover yourself. I didnt say that "believing women are not required to cover themselves". I only said about the word Khimar and that it doesnt mean head cover.

Khimar does not mean head cover. It means cover. Comprehensible???

So you will send them to hell, I suppose? This is also the way of Allah, isn't it?

sure. Every one here calling ourselves muslims do the same.

However. you called others rejectors. Which shows that you have put yourself as Ilah.

                la ilaha illallah

I don't like bringing religion into politics where it is unnecessary, and all you talk about is politics, there is nothing Godly in what you say, so no I won't parrot out holy words for your amusement. Allah did not give them to us to be used so cheaply.

                    Salam,

I'm more worried about those who declare they're Muslims and use God "Allah" as a coma in order to appear more righteous, than those who simply stick to the topic..

                    Peace.

"they should draw their veils over their bosoms"

                      ...When the pre-Islamic Arabs went to battle, Arab women seeing the men off to war would bare their breasts to encourage them to fight;

Anyone know who the "classical commentators" are?

According to most of the classical commentators, it was worn in pre-Islamic times more or less as an ornament and was let down loosely over the wearers back. And since, in accordance with the fashion prevalent at the time, the upper part of a womans tunic had a wide opening in the front, her breasts were left bare.

I don't think the bare breasts are kinky (I mean does anyone talk about how sexy it is when African women walk about bare-breasted? ), but the scarf the lady wore in Nun's post was pretty sexy.

'Kinky' refers to deviant sexual appeal, so is the wrong word to use. But if the question is asked, is it distracting to see women, regardless of race, walking around topless? I think the answer has to be yes, it is.

I think kinky refers to anything that is sexually uninhibited, but to each his own portion of the truth.

Women are always distracting no matter the lack of attire, or its overabundance. Trust me, it's ingrained in men and women to like women.
