    Peace to all,

Now , we all know that the Koran teaches us to believe in God, the Lord of the universes, the benevolent , the merciful etc. But I have an issue I would like to discuss; the view on islam on polytheism and atheism. The Koran speaks that disbelief is wrong, and says that those who disbelieve will be in hell, but I believe that the few words that are recited before almost every surah in God's book have a significance Bismillahi Ar-rahamani Ar-raheem . So at the beggining of almost every surah we are told that God is merciful, does that nullify that hell for atheism and politheism policy? I personally pray that every body be given access to heaven, and stand on the grounds that the access to freeing your spirit and travel to the ever conscious (HEAVEN) does not require a belief in God, but only self realisation and righteous deeds. So pointing out things that we as muslims believe is wrong isn't wrong in itself but denying an atheist, or a politheist or any other theist heaven even though he does godly/righteous deeds is in itself wrong.

Please sisters/brothers give me your opininions on these matter, SLM

      Peace MSW,

When I was a Christian I was taught that if someone hadn't accepted Jesus as their lord and savior, then they were automatically going hell. May Allah forgive me.

Then I came to Islam and read in the Qur'an in 144 And We have not sent any messenger except in the language of his people, so he may clarify for them. But God misguides whom He wills, and He guides whom He wills. And He is the Noble, the Wise.

It sent a chill down my spine. I realized then that even the most pious and devout worshipper could be led astray and vice versa.

So nowadays, I just say that Allah knows best, and leave it at that. For all I know, I could be right next to that atheist in the hellfire on the day of judgement. May Allah be merciful upon me.

Or you could be in hellfire while 'those cursed atheists' are in heaven..

Forgive others and you shall be forgiven...
Humble yourself.. as everyone who exalts himself shall be humbled, and he who humbles himself shall be exalted..

        Salam / Peace
