    Salaam Mazhar,

    Thank you for your post.

I understand in a different way, not as sons.

is a singular form of and it means "build/make/construct" not "son". Please take a look at the following aayaats.

6611 And Allah presents an example of those who believed the wife of Pharaoh, when she said, "My Lord, build for me near You a house in Paradise and save me from Pharaoh and his deeds and save me from the wrongdoing people."

436 Worship Allah and associate nothing with Him, and to parents do good, and to relatives, orphans, the needy, the near neighbor, the neighbor farther away, the companion at your side, the traveler, and those whom your right hands possess. Salamun alaika,

Two words, coloured red, are verbs---also you have translated as imperative second person masculine signular verb.

Verbs never take Kasra--genitive sign; here there is a genitive sign at the end. Reason The last delicate consonant "ya" is elided evident by genitive sign.

Please see other 34 occurrences of this singular noun---it is always first noun of Possessive phrase because the word itself is relational. Therefore, no other meanings except---son/sons of-----

Also pl pay attention to the verb whose object is its plural
