I want to present this question to gather some research data. Read both translations and provide your reasons/explainations of which fits best in the translation "AEONS" or "PERIODS"

Both translations are wrong. The Qur'an says in this verse than Allah created these things in six "ayyaam"/days... Some people can interpret it to refer to periods or aeons, stages, or whatever; but it literally says "six days".

Thanks for your input but when you say "days" do you mean days in the literal sense like how we perceive days on earth or are you saying the "days" here refer to long periods of time, stages, etc.?

Brother, you sound like a fool. Are you really trying to question my knowledge based on something you've read in an Arabic dictionary? And you're comparing this with the wisdom of the Qur'an? -\ Let's examine the uses of the word "ayyaam" in the scriptures...
2184 - "ayyaaman ma dudaat"/counted days (or "few days"
2196 - fasting three "ayyaam"/days for the pilgrimageThere are plenty of examples like this... But what about this?
3418 - move in them "layaaliya wa ayyaaman"/nights and days
You think this says 'nights and PERIODS'? C'mon, guy. Please stop speaking on things in which you have no knowledge. It doesn't make you sound smart; rather, it makes you sound ignorant and foolish. The Arabic word "ayyaam"/days is the plural form of "yawm"/day. And based on the other scriptural identifiers, this is referring to literal 24-hour days... The only exceptions to this rule are clearly identified in the Qur'an. For example
All matters are controlled by Him from the heaven to the earth. To Him, the day is equivalent to one thousand of your years. (325)
The "malaykaat"/controllers/angels, with their reports, climb to Him in a day that equals fifty thousand years. (704)
Now, whether this period in 2559 is interpreted to refer to six literal 24-hour days or six thousand (or fifty-thousand) year periods, the literal translation of this is six "ayyaam"/days, not periods... I already told you to get rid of that faulty dictionary you keep in your pocket. It's sending you off...

A Day for God is similar to 1000 years of our count. This could probably mean that God created the Heavens and the Earth in 6000 years. It seems that God work in cycles. Each cycle is 1000 years of our count. It is very weird that God told Moses to remind them about the Days of God. What the hell does that mean? Could it be that every 1000 years God judges the people? or send a messenger? or some other phenemenon.

Your missing something there. To get heaven, it takes fifty thousand of the god's years. Quran 70.4
And if you take 354 (days in human year) x 50,000 years (from here to most likely outside the universe) you get the number of the god's days = 17.7 million days. And then you multiply by 1000 to get human years. Which gives the age of the universe at 17.7 billion.
As for six days, one can take that from the above which will give you 300 million years for the creation period of universe.
Or one could refer to relativity time if those time periods are not the same as the above method, where 1 universal miniute becomes 1 trillion earth miniutes. And take 6 universal days for 6 million million which divided by 354 days becomes 16.9 billion years.
So 6 days x 50,000 x 1000 = gives the number of years it took the universe to be made.

Well, personally, I think it would be best to stick with six literal days. That's just my opinion, though... According the Qur'an, a day can be relayed as one 24-hour day, 1000 years, or even 50,000 years, showing that our concept of the day is limited compared to the timetable of Allah. The Qur'an is the best explainer of this. If we say "six aeons" or "six periods", we could be correct based on our understanding, but we could be completely wrong in the sense of how Allah bases the time period. For example, if Allah actually did construct these things in six literal, 24-hour days, then a translation saying "six aeons" would be completely wrong. However, if He constructed it in six '50-thousand-year' days, then a translation saying "DAYS" would still be correct, based on the scriptures implications...
I think six PERIODS would be a better translation overall, but if you wish to stay completely accurate, you should stick to the description of six DAYS... We also have to keep in mind that "life" wasn't established during this period. The Qur'an simply says the heavens and the earth were created, as well as the things between them (i.e. gravity, radiation?). So, since the Qur'an explicitly says that the heavens and the earth were originally one mass (in a gaseous state), and they were forcefully separated by Allah, this could support aspects of the alleged "Big Bang" concept. And depending on the power, radiation context, and gravitational pulls between the debris, it's possible that our universe, which includes the heavens and the earth, expanded at a very fast rate. After the hydrogen particles settled upon the radiated piece of debris (i.e. what is now the earth), it would've formed a gravitationally stable atmosphere completely full of water, which can be supported by the Qur'an
He is the One who created the heavens and the earth in six days, and His domain was completely covered with water... (117)
So, if the universe continued to expand at this rate, as it continues to expand, maybe it's possible that the outlining shapes and contents of the universe were formed in six literal, 24-hour days... Again, it doesn't say anything about "life" being formed on the earth or anything like this; it simply says the heavens and the earth, which were most likely lifeless objects at the time. That's just my personal perspective, and it could be right or wrong. None of us really know the underlying factors of how, when, and how long it took for the universe to be formed and shaped. As we know, the universes are not idle now; they are still expanding. So, obviously, Allah is not talking about forming all creation of the universes in six days, because they're still being formed. So, He was obviously speaking about a small part of what we know as creation, heavens, and the earth today...

This is very possible. Remember we are discussing a 'mutashabih'. There is no absolutes. Anyway, in the Quran there are different kind of days
Human day - 24 hour period.
Gods day - 1000 year period.
Ascension day - 50,000 years.
Last day - EternalOk, looking at these very carefully, we can notice that a day means a cycle. A human cycle is a 24 hour period. God is 1000 years. The angel and spirit ascension is 50,000 years. During creation, there was only God, so you get compelled to choose God's day.

Point Two Its just an indication as to the length of time it takes for 'light' to ascend and descend NOT how long it took the universe to be completed.
Point Three 50,000 years of 'light' travel, doesn't even get us outside our galaxy! (actually, puts us right on the edge)
