    • Eternal return (also known as "eternal recurrence&quot is a concept which posits that the universe has been recurring, and will continue to recur in a self-similar form an infinite number of times. The concept has roots in ancient Egypt, and was subsequently taken up by the Pythagoreans and Stoics. In the Hebrew Scriptures, the notion is supported in the book of Ecclesiastes. With the decline of antiquity and the spread of Christianity, the concept fell into disuse, though Friedrich Nietzsche briefly resurrected it. -

Peace be upon all you brothers, i'm a muslim from Sardinia.
I'm studying the eternal return concept and i'm founding in the Qur'an the verses that seem to talk about that.
I will collect them in this topic.

"That Day We will fold up heaven like folding up the pages of a book. As We originated the first creation so We will regenerate it. It is a promise binding on Us. That is what We will do." (21104)

"As for those who are distraught, they will be in the Fire; in it for them is a sighing and a wailing.
They will abide in it as long as the heavens and earth exist, except for what your Lord wishes. Your Lord does as He pleases.
As for those who are fortunate, they will be in paradise; in it they will abide as long as the heavens and earth exist, except for what your Lord wishes, a giving without end." (11106-10

"On the day the ground shakes.
It will be followed by the second blow.
Hearts on that day will be terrified.
    Their eyes cast down.
They will say -Shall we be returned to live our lives,
even after we were crumbled bones?-
They said -This is an impossible recurrence!-
But all it takes is one blow.
Whereupon they will rise up." (79 6-14)

"You shall race towards forgiveness from your Lord, and a Paradise whose width is as the width of the Heaven and the Earth, prepared for those who believed in God and His messengers. Such is God's grace that He bestows upon whomever He wills. God is the Possessor of Infinite Grace." (5721)

"Those who were given knowledge and faith said -You have remained according to God's decree until the day of Resurrection; so this is the day of Resurrection, but you did not know.-" (3056)

And don't miss out the codes

    • the number of times the words, 'world' (dunya) and 'hereafter' (akhira) are repeated is also the same 115
    • the words 'paradise' and 'hell' are each repeated 77 times.

Sir, I would recommend you study religio perennis, and the traditionalist authors like Frithjof Schuon.

      Here is a good introduction

      http//www.religioperennis.org/documents/Schuon/religioperennis.pdf

      And God bless you.

        salam brother.

this is not on topic, anyway in the eternal return all returns O0 so thanks for the suggestion, religio perennis is a new name to my ears.

        but not gnosis.
i know it and i think his approach is not the last step of understanding.
be careful gnosis can lead you to elitarism, elitarism is division, any division compromises the perception of the true tawhid.
and open your heart to the dark side of the force! voodoo

the reasons of this thoughts are in the name The Living One.

        God bless ya
