I hope 'conditional' is the right word to use. If I did not, then you will hopefully know what I meant after reading this

Now, I may be wrong here, possibly it is because I simply misunderstand what it means when you say "I am a Muslim". For a while I thought it meant "one who submits to God", and I thought Islam meant "submission to God in peace".

If it does mean that, then is it true that when we are committing sin we automatically are no longer Muslim.

I have the understanding that a Muslim can never be a terrorist, and a terrorist can never be a Muslim.
If a terrorist decides to be a Muslim, he or she is no longer a terrorist because you cannot murder someone with evil intent while still remaining in submission to God.
If a terrorist is not killing anyone, I am not sure if they can still be in submission to God because obviously being a terrorist would mean they had the intention to cause harm or corruption or oppression or other evil intentions...

Therefore, if a "Muslim" blows himself up, it can possibly be considered a public declaration that that person is no longer Muslim.

      I agree.

        peace,

I agree with the gist of what you are saying but you may wish to differentiate between "Muslim" and "muslim".

One can be a "Muslim" and do many bad things and still be "Muslim", however they cannot be "muslim".

The former is a title/proper noun, the latter is a descriptive word.

All information is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should always seek knowledge and verify for themselves when possible: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11.

Muslim terrorist is just bunch of people who wrongly in intepretating Quran, they're even wrongly in intepretate hadith.
In ordinary Sunny and Shia, there is no point in their teaching, that teach us to became a poor suicide bomber.

Dogma is their food, you will find if terrorist are rarely have a educational degree. They possesed by hatred, they intepretating Scripture based on their hatred and their own desire.
They're not even literally do jihad in the name of God, as I know some of them was backed by hypocrite political groups.

I have another question and that is can someone be a muslim and not know it? What do you think?
I came to this conclusion becouse I came to know some groups of people that lead peaceful lives and even greet each other with "peace" and they have nothing to do with Islam...this is somewhat confusing to me because I wonder if you can be a muslim without knowing the Book what do we gain with it especially for new Q-alone it can be frustrating and confusing...(

You're confused due to your 'sectarian environment' where you were and are being brought up.

Yes anyone can be a muslim without knowing 'the book' or 'any book'.
Ability to read is not a prerequisite to be a muslim.

One can be a "Muslim" and do many bad things and still be "Muslim", however they cannot be "muslim".
The former is a title/proper noun, the latter is a descriptive word.

And one can be a 'muslim' even when he/she is not a "Muslim".

I have the understanding that a Muslim can never be a terrorist, and a terrorist can never be a Muslim.

The evil ones has the following characteristics

                • Arrogant / Proud
                • Selfish / Lack of empathy towards other than his/herself
                • Hatred / envy

Regardless of what names / social identity that they proclaim..

White the 'good ones' has the opposite

                • Humble
                • Selflessness / Abundance amount of empathy
                • Love and compassion

As one of the famous muslim saith it well
"By their fruit you will recognize them, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit."

                Salam / Peace

If being a muslim is conditional then no one would be a muslim.

True as the below statement is also true..

If being an honest is conditional then no one is truly honest at all time..
