      peace,

      I agree.

      http//misconceptions-about-islam.com/muslims-reject-jesus.htm

All information is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should always seek knowledge and verify for themselves when possible: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11.

        Fare thee well sister,

I came to islam also through Christianity. However, like you, I never believed in the trinity because I saw it as irrational and illogical that an alleged son of God would be humiliated and killed on a cross. It seemed too far-fetched and did not add up. Also the whole alleged traditional reason why Jesus was crucified was retarded to believe in, in my opinion.

Like you I took Jesus as another Messenger like the ones in the Old Testament.

I used to be prejudiced towards islam as I thought it was a different religion of people who were astray and Quran to be a cheap copy of the Bible. But after giving the Quran a chance I realized it is the people who are astray and not the Book to be fake and actually to be untouched and God's own wordings unlike the Bible which is composed by men inspired by God at best. So Muhammad is another added Messenger in my belief system since then. Just like I did with Jesus, I did never idolize him and hearsay I am careful with. Since I have God's own words I no longer need much else, barely even the Bible which I discovered first.

But I tend to be a bit predisposed towards Jesus because it was these words which lead me to my Faith and I still enjoy reading the Gospel testimonies despite their corruption. I do not like to say I have a favorite, but Muhammad is not my favorite. Ah well, God is above them all. Anyway, I think this was not the thing God warned about when he said make no distinction between them.

        God bless you

              Salaam,

Although I dislike saying that you convert to islam. A true monotheist who ascribe no partners with Him is already a muslim. Islam is just a definition of a certain religious practice and being rather than a label of a religion of specific people. The original Bible (not translation) uses terminology such as muslim already as far as I can tell. The Muhammadans have just hijacked this term for their own sects to find an identity for themselves and their religion often believed to be created by Muhammad.

              God bless you

When did you finally conclude that islaam was the true religion for you? And what specifically led you to this conclusion?

I am interested to know what questions you had? And how the qur'aan had answered them. Many would surely find this interesting to know and might be inspired by what you have to say.

If you do not mind, I have some good and beneficial questions for you. I will ask them in posts to follow inshaa ALLAAH.

For us, there's nothing wrong to name our children Jesus or Messiah or Christ, since we don't set Jesus Christ up as a partner besides God. It would be wonderful if our kids are as good as Jesus in the eyes of God. You didn't really convert Islam. You've already acknowledged God.
