In the traditional concept, the Afterlife was approached using the ancient understandings of the universe. Because of this, most views on the afterlife are mythological using metaphorical expressions and viewing it as something not linked to a natural system within the universe. With the emergence of the materialistic Western science, the concept of a Hereafter was ridiculed since it concerned spirituality, something that is believed to lie outside empirical knowledge and thus improvable. But with new theories coming from the fields of cosmology and quantum physics, the universe shows to be far more complex and far less material. On the lowest levels of existence, all matter turn into quanta-energy and information and follow laws and systems very different from the higher levels where energy is in the forms of light and matter.

The Qur'an constantly reminds us that we must understand this universe to understand God's system

    3190-191

Verily, in the creation of the heavens and the earth, and in the succession of night and day, there are indeed messages for all who are endowed with insight,

who remember God when they stand, and when they sit, and when they lie down to sleep, and reflect on the creation of the heavens and the earth "O our Sustainer! Thou hast not created this without meaning and purpose. Limitless art Thou in Thy glory! Keep us safe, then, from suffering through the fire (as we burn away our potential for further development)!

The Qur'an itself uses, next to allegorical expressions, the current natural universe as an example for the new universe, and refers to it being part of the same system, but on different levels. The human psyche or self (nafs in the Qur'an), is determined as something that exists apart from a biological body, but uses a biological body as a vehicle to interact with the universe. The human psyche and all its deeds and thoughts are part of the information storage of the universe on the quanta level. As explained by professor Seth Loyd

The Universe is made of bits. The way in which the Universe registers and processes
information determines what it is and how it behaves. It has been known for more than a
century that every piece of the Universe - every electron, atom, and molecule - registers
    bits of information."1

    And science philosopher Ervin Laszlo

There is no evident limit to the information that interfering vacuum wavefields could
conserve. In the final count, they could carry information on the state of the whole
    Universe.2

    2775

And there is nothing hidden in the heaven and the Earth but it is in a clear Record.

      Assaalamualaikum,

In my younger days (age 45 now), we have been taught of heaven and hell. Adam and Eve ware driven out of heaven. They both eat apple. Qiyamah is the destruction of the universe.

Based on theory is it true that our universe is expanding or static? I think our whole universe were created at one time and the nature of our universe are moving in parallel not expanding nor static.

Qiyamah is not happening in sequence, but in seconds or snapshot in time, where all the things in the universe explode all together and after that the new universe, be they earth or planets will appear. At that time no positve or negative, everthing is neutral. We will not became an old man or woman. Everything are stable in nature. Actually the hell is the huge sun or star roaring every seconds. This is where for those who don't believe in GOD will reside there forever in form of stones. Why human being become stones? Because during on Planet Earth, they failed to become true human beings, so GOD turn them into stones and reside in the hell or big roaring stars forever and their soul will cry forever.

Heaven during Adam's time is not the Heaven after qiyamah. We must remember that Adam is not the first man on this universe but the first man on Planet Earth. There are thousand of Adams before Prophet Adam. Thousands of years ago in the higher level of the universe, GOD said, He will appoint Adam as the Khalifah or on the Planet Earth. This shows that Adam is matured enough to manage the Planet Earth. When he is matured enough, we understand that he must obey GOD's law. What happen is that, he don't obey GOD's instruction that is don't eat the khuldi tree. Actually this khuldi tree is not a tree but act of sex. That's why in the Quran, when Adam and Eve(??) peform sex, they have no clothes on. So, GOD instruct both Adam and Eve to make a million kilometer journey to Planet Earth and live on Planet Earth and find food and know how to live by themselves. Before this they are staying on Planet Muntaha or Sidratul Muntaha (or tenth planet or Planet X) at the edge of our Solar System. On the night of Israk Mikraj, this planet Muntaha is where our prophet Muhahammad had see this beautiful and huge greenish planet. Remember the buraq is not the bird, but the very highly sophisticated aerospace technology as fast as lightning.

Why I said Adam is not the first man in the universe is that why the Angels complained to GOD of Adam appointed as the ruler of Planet Earth, meaning that the Angles have seen other men fought and killed each other somewhere else in the universe.

Maybe my opinion is quite strange enough for most muslims, but we must try to dig deeper in the meaning of Quran. Whether believe or not, does'nt matter. I just like to swim in the deep oceans of the mystery of Quran to find truth.

      Wassalam.

        peace,

in this article there is mentioning of 'will stop existing all together' for ones in "hell", yet elsewhere it's mentioned that this "hell" state of mind is not eternal, and everyone will eventually exit it, progress further...

could you explain how that would go? how would people develope further in order to leave a place when that place is a place of no further development?

also, it does look similar to reincarnation, it's not the same though.

          Peace,

Everyone is on different levels based on their deeds. You cannot compare a bankrobber or a drugdealer with Hitler. What I understand from the Qur'an that the ones who have been punished enough in their destructive hellish state and have the potential to develop further, will develop further. But some who are beyond 'repair' will just stop existing eventually.

It is not reincarnation at all, because that refers to soul-migration into different bodies on this earth without the soul knowing their previous lives, untill it breaks away from this cycle through complete devotion and ascetism. In this cycle people can go back and forth on different levels and thus be trapped in the cycle of re-birth. This is also why in Buddhist and Hinduistic theology, rebirth is a bad thing, not a good thing as Westerns approach reincarnation.

In the Qur'anic concept, there is only one way, forward development. People can stop along the away and be stuck there for a while after they die which is experienced as agony (jahim=to stop), but in the end almost all will move forward in their development. There is only new existence in a new universe that is completely different from this one as it is an evolved, upgraded version of this one. There is only forward development of the personality during this life, and after death into a new existence. It will never return to this earth, and is not trapped in a cycle of rebirth.

So there is no comparison at all with reincarnation, maybe only that deeds determine your development, which is very karma like.

            peace

well ok i meant similar because it seemed like this reincarnation - soul going from body to body on this here earth... in your article - soul going from body to body from earth in one universe to the earth in the next universe.
i just assume we'll have bodies thee like this as i read the next universe would form just like this one.

ok that stop existing part is sad (and scary) (

well i'm iterested in what kind of this new universe will be like, like what kind of environment?

also, do you then support the theory of previous universes?
