I think Martha was more someone who was consulted rather than an author. I may be wrong on that point though.
On a side note, does anyone know what Aisha Musa is up to? I saw her book, which I will buy at some point. She used to be on the compuseve forum many years ago!

Well, yuksel.org says that there are three translators, "two of whom are women". I guess yuksel has to be one of the three, so the remaining two are women. If the information at yuksel.org is correct, shaiban is either a woman or is no longer a part of this translation. Just seemed a little curious to me.

It is a mistake on Edip's website. Aisha Musa wasn't part of the translation, only reviewed it. Martha was consulted on some Arabic definitions and on verses concerning women's issues. Edip and Layth both worked on the translation, and is in a sense a updated version of the free-minds translation, but with the commentary of Edip.

You can't translate the Koran, a book that is followed by 1.2 billion people, by relying on 2 or 3 people. This is insane. You need a large committee of various backgrounds and back and forth analysis that may take some time before you can come up with the translation that is as accurate as possible.
