    Peace all,

Dr Subhi's book entitled "The Quran Enough as a Source of Islamic Legislation" is now available in English. It can be downloaded from the link below.

The book is well structured and makes some very strong points.

It makes for a very good read, I highly recommend it.

I can't see what he means by source of Law. I have not seen him show that although he says he will write a book about the "real" Shariah Law. I think he is wishful thinking. He might try to make it very vague and very general to aviod specifics. But we will see if he can pull it off relying on the Koran only as he says he does. He already invoked Tawattur for the rituals, I wonder what will he invoke for the "real" Shariah law.

There was a big debate between a Koranist and a Sunni in Al Jazeera-talk forum where this guy was trying to convince the Sunnis that he learned how to pray from Tawattur from Ismael and Abraham. They guy was so unconvincing that he didn't even know how silly it sounded. The Sunnis just kept it on him all the time cause they knew that that was his weakest link. You could see how they kept that subject running cause they knew that he was unconvincing. They avoided dwelling on any other subject and just kept going after this Tawattur of his. That Koranist just copied and pasted from Subhi Mansour's articles.

) That thing was funny man.

          I also agree with Bigmo.

However, I thought translating the book would be a nice little introduction to anyone unfamiliar with Quran Alone.

The book also highlights some nice points with regard to the hadith/sunna argument.

          ps

I hope the English was bearable!

I belive that he only meant that Koran is enough as a source for knowing the religion that God prescribed for us. NO other sources needed concerning this issue.

He already invoked Tawattur for the rituals.

I think he himself is not convinced with this Twattur, but he can't dwel in these critiacl issue as salat and Hagg, cause he like most if not all here in FM has no clear vision concerning these issues. So he is just avoiding them otherwise he will lose his credibility. i can excuse him for that, cos his main primary goal is to disclose the falshood of Bukhari and his mates, and direct the attention of the people to God's book.

In the post above you said that "most if not all here in FM has no clear vision concerning this issues". I think if people free themselves from everything in sunni Islam, their vision will become clear concerning these issues. But they must have the courage to change their belief system. A never ending change. Not just change one day and be content with the new knowledge. People have to constantly change. Change themselves until the day they die. Change for the better. This is the true evolution. Many people waste their time by focusing on inconsequential details instead of the big picture.

Some Words of Wisdom to reflect upon

I have not invented a "new style," composite, modified or otherwise that is set within distinct form as apart from "this" method or "that" method. On the contrary, I hope to free my followers from clinging to styles, patterns, or molds. Remember that Jeet Kune Do is merely a name used, a mirror in which to see "ourselves". . . Jeet Kune Do is not an organized institution that one can be a member of. Either you understand or you don't, and that is that. There is no mystery about my style. My movements are simple, direct and non-classical. The extraordinary part of it lies in its simplicity. Every movement in Jeet Kune-Do is being so of itself. There is nothing artificial about it. I always believe that the easy way is the right way. Jeet Kune-Do is simply the direct expression of one's feelings with the minimum of movements and energy. The closer to the true way of Kung Fu, the less wastage of expression there is. Finally, a Jeet Kune Do man who says Jeet Kune Do is exclusively Jeet Kune Do is simply not with it. He is still hung up on his self-closing resistance, in this case anchored down to reactionary pattern, and naturally is still bound by another modified pattern and can move within its limits. He has not digested the simple fact that truth exists outside all molds; pattern and awareness is never exclusive. Again let me remind you Jeet Kune Do is just a name used, a boat to get one across, and once across it is to be discarded and not to be carried on one's back - Bruce lee

I think Hope puts it nicely.

I agree with Hope also. He has no other way to prove it. But the thing about his assertion is he claims it was inherited from Abraham and Ishmael. Thats strange. It could be because he is against the Ka'aba so he wanted to seperate Quraish from Muhammad and decided its easier if he connects Qureish with Abraham. The distance between Muhammad and Abraham is too large if you ask me.

But I agree with Hope that he doesn't have the answers.
