265 You have come to know who it was among you that transgressed
the Sabbath, We said to them ?Be despicable apes!?

    • Decree for those who transgressed the Sabbath.

447 O you who have received the Book, believe in what We have sent
down authenticating what is with you, before We cast down faces
and turn them on their backs or curse them as the people of the
Sabbath were cursed. And the will of God is always done.

    • The continuum of scriptures.

4154 And We raised the mount above them by the covenant they took,
and We said to them ?Enter the passageway by crouching.? And
We said to them ?Do not transgress the Sabbath;? and We took
    from them a solemn covenant.

    • Them, the group guided by Moses. The same system of the group guided by Mohammad.

7163 And ask them about the town which was by the sea, after they had
transgressed the Sabbath; their fish would come to them openly
on the day of their Sabbath, and when they are not in Sabbath,
they do not come to them! It is such that We afflicted them for
    what wickedness they were in.

    • Transgressing the Sabbath makes natural missmatches.

16124 Indeed, the Sabbath was only decreed for those who had disputed
in it, and your Lord will judge between them for that in which
    they had disputed.

    • From all these verses in Quran, regarding Sabbath, what was the decree?

    • To be despicable apes, to those who transgressed it.

The System of God is One, for everyone. The Scriptures reveal that, for those who have understanding.

The Sabbath is the seventh day of Creation, confirmed by the Ten Commandments Moses received.

Most of comments in Quran, or all of them which I have seen till now, either add the unnedded (for jews and christians) in 16124, or attribute the Sabbath to the jews.

In my light, that does not hold true.

Because all the comments I have made till now have started only from the verses the Quran offers regarding Sabbath, and from my state of knowing nothing except holy Scriptures.

    Peace,
    R.

Peace but in which time period and from which culture / calendar do we take the first day of the week if sabbath is the seventh day? In Abu Dhabi the first day of the week is Sunday (Al Ahad) and Saturday is the seventh day. In England, Monday is first day and Sunday is seventh day. Do we base it on the solar or lunar calendar? Is it the first day of the week as per when the prophets lived, when the messengers lived, or for our own religious communites now?

        Salaam,

I have begun to feel that God wants to help me with this Sabbath thing. I have got inspirational hints but not yet knowing when. It is one day per week which is Sabbath and one should spend the day mindful of God and purifying oneself wholeheartedly, more than the others days and why work is not allowed as to think about profit. Jesus worked, but that was because deeds connected to godly doings is allowed such as charity, so it means those who work with people who need the service may work as long as they are mindful about God while doing it.

The sectarian people are already celebrating the Sabbath in various ways but limit it to part of the day, ie when they are in their churchs, synagogues or mosques.

Sixth days you shall work but on the seventh you should keep the Sabbath for God. How one should spend this day it up to the individual but we ought not to spend it on anything that makes our minds think of our temporary possessions in this life and illusion. Socializing and being mindful of God together in a gathering is one good way to do it and people already do it today. But also doing some charity work in the service of God. Spread the "Word" of God.

Well, the pious Believer can probably make something up on their own which seems righteous in the eyes of God. I just gave examples.

People say we should not keep the Sabbath and it was for the Children of Israel, but then they still keep it sort of. The Muslim gathering on Fridays with a khutba is a tradition which makes it a bit of a Sabbath "celebration".

But it is indeed a beautiful concept with Sabbath if you do it like a former good example, Jesus.

Sabbath in Quran? There are certain hints, but nothing absolute. But there are absolutely no problems for a person who wants to establish Sabbath habits because it is a righteous tradition where you can think of something other than profitable work. Your wealth will be of no benefit when you leave Earth, so gather wealth for six days and distribute it to poor people on the seventh, if you are not stingy.

It seems God wants to teach me something about this and I will keep you updated.

        God bless you

Peace Man of Faith, the truth does not work with spreading. Only stupidity works that way. The truth works with penetration. Each one is responsible to drill and penetrate the own bubble of ignorance. Then the light of wisdom teaches the learned.

Praise be to God. The Lord of knowing.

          Peace,
          R.

            Salaam R.H.-Ustahi,

By spread it means spread the Light. By "Word" it does not necessarily literally mean word.

            God bless you

Here's what I meant with the difference between spreading and penetrating

One can research, and there is enough serious data and evidence even on the internet. that today's Saturday have never been lost since the dawn of time.
Today's Saturday is as has always been the day of rest....

                Shabat Shalom!

                  Peace dear brother GODsubmitter,

That day (Saturday) was actually going to be my suggestion of day and that is the day that I feel that God has inspired me about and God seems to have stopped me from working that day and I felt extra heavy-headed that day (in a good way). But most important is that this Sabbath is commemorated every seventh day if you wish to keep a whole day for God.

The Christians took the Sunday and Muslims Friday, but the Saturday was actually the original day in my theories.

                  God bless you

Peace GODsubmitter and Man of faith,

Notice in Genesis, is there any name for the days?

                    No. There are numbers.

Hence naming is unneeded addition. Moreover it is attributed to the planets, which is another form of idolatery.

                    Saturn-day. Moon-day. Sun-day.

Time is to be measured by the movement, phase, trajectory of the sun and moon. As it writes in Quran.

Study more on the own, and judge only with the the word of the Lord. That way you will quickly trash bs.

                    Peace,
                    R.

                      Salaam,

You are right about that and I had that in consideration. And both the Persians and the old people of the Old Testament (Tanakh) said the number of the day and not a name, ie Persians say, for example Panj-shanbe (day 5).

But their calendars ought to end their week on the Saturday traditionally, but not so for the Persians as they nowadays align their week as the Arabs due to Islam.

But you are right, it should only matter that the Seventh Day of the week was Sabbat and then all is fine. That you regularly devote time for God is most important.

Ps. Another reason I am suspecting the Persians to be the people in the OT.

                      God bless you

                        Peace,

Gregorian calendar is a global mind-fuck.

Each religious group has bitten the bait assuming that the counter is in tact, and loosing the natural timing precisely because of the intactfulness of the counter.

Thus, for the today's muslims, jummuah is Pope's jummuah.

For the jews, the assumed sabbath is Gregory's saturn-day.

For the christians, it is pope's day of sun.

So, the stupidity has no wings but prevents the birds from flying.

The precision of natural time is anchored with Season, the phase of the moon, and the interval of sunlight.

Btw, today is the last day of the natural month. Tomorrow is new moon day, or zero moon day as I prefer to call it. The time of thankfulness for the previous month and prayer for the coming one.

Peace, and praise belongs to the One who all and everything belong.

                        R.

Sabbath is for Bani Israel.Sabbath has nothing to do with Islamic fiqh.

We will get a wrong way if we learn Sabbath by using Quran only.Tanakh-Torah is the best sources to understand Sabbath.

                            Salaam,

Well, a sort of Sabbath in traditional regard can be fruitful and righteous, even if the Qur'an does not really talk about it like that. I mean put everything aside for one day when it comes to thinking about profit and the likes and instead only think about God and purification.

Sabbath when you read it in Qur'an is a pretty humble and warm event as long as you do not interpret it like some of Jesus' contemporaries.

Well, if the event is not found in Qur'an in any extent so it cannot be something mandatory but rather voluntary.

                            God bless you

"Shabbat is primarily a day of rest and spiritual enrichment. The word "Shabbat" comes from the root Shin-Beit-Tav, meaning to cease, to end, or to rest."

In scripture is another trap of selective translation. Translation is like glowes. But the best feel is without them. Those who know do not translate. They rewrite. And the right combination of words arrives to the perfect essence.

Can anyone enlighten me as to why in Quran, apes are seen as despicable? I recently visited to mountain gorillas in Bwindi National Park, Uganda. They are truly beautiful, amazing awesome creatures. I certainly couldn't see them as despicable.

Praise be to the God of Presence.

                                      Peace,
                                      R.

So what is the right combination of words "which arrives to the perfect essence" Shin-Beit-Tav?
Why do you write the hint and not give the solution or explanation?
                                      Thanx
