Should we help the poor and feed the hungry, or should we just leave it to God?

"When they are told, "Give from God's provisions to you," those who disbelieve say to those who believe, "Shall we feed those whom God could feed himself, if he so willed?'..." (Quran 3647)

The Quranic Ruling is You shall feed the poor

    1. We are entrusted by God as successors on Earth (Quran 230)
As successors, we are liable to take some of the roles of our Master. We are to be caretakers of the Earth, and fellow man.
We should feed others because God feeds us (Quran 222.

    2. How Much should we Give?
We should give the Extra that we have. This would mean any excess/surplus that we have, that we ourselves can give away without having a negative effect. (Quran 2219).
We sholuld not spend too much, nor too little (Quran 1729), and we should spend regularly, rather than once in a blue moon; Every Paycheck (Quran 6141, 2274). If you can't give right away, then set aside and give when you can (Quran 7024). Publicized charity is good, but Charity given in privacy is better, because in this case it also atones for your sins (Quran 2271).

"Those who give to charity night and day, secretly and publicly, will receive their recompense from their Lord; they have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve." (Quran 2274)

Otherwise "What brought you to the Hell fire?"
    They will respond,

    1. "We did not observe prayers (Salat).
    2. We did not feed the poor.
    3. We used to engage in vain talk
    4. We disbelieved in the Day of Judgment."
      (Quran 7442-46)

      Peace,

And be generous towards relatives and family and the stranger.

      God bless you
