Ramadan, summer/autumn, laylatil qadr/autumn equinox.

Hey everyone,
There was a thread I was reading that spoke about the phrases mentioned in the heading of this thread. I would just like some clarification. Is ramadan the month of scorching heat, or the month of rain after scorching heat? I ask this because there is a theory that laylatil qadr means 'the night of equality', due to the definition of q-d-r being equilibrium, equal, etc, (as quoted by the person on the thread, not myself) and that night being tied in with the astronomical event of the equinox where the length of the day is the same as the length of the night.
Could anyone shed some light on this topic please?

Well, I believe the summer solstice to be the correct one, if you look at the ramadan thread ayman started, go to page 238, the one where pazazu comments, and you will see his arguments as to why it's the summer solstice and not the equinox.
