    Peace,
    Respectfully.

I would say Messenger Ibraheem. After all, he was tempted to kill his son. Then again, Nuh did see The Flood. Moosa split the sea. Isaa ascended. Prophet Muhammad visited Spanish peninsula....i don't know.

But for me, personally, the best one is prophet Jusuf. The amount of patience he had .... to be thrown into the well, to be sold as a slave, to be nearly raped, to be thrown into jail wrongfully and stay there for decades - and still not to complain, lose nerves or get angry .... that is one True Muslim.

    Peace.

There is only one prophet whom God has spoken to directly...
There is only one prophet whom God had strenghen with the Rooh Al Quds and who could cure the blind and turn a clay bird alive

      ....

The list can go on like this... but its futile

      Peace ;
You are right but those prophets were sent only to their own "nations" not all mankind.
      Regards

To a single Nation or to All mankind... The challenge REMAINS the same for all... The difficulties they had facing the disbelievers were harsh and almost fatal... Ibraheem was even THROWN INTO THE FIRE... The message is the same... One God!

          Eid,

Baa6il (falsehood) CANNOT exist in Allah's calculation.

At the time of prophet Muhammad, there were Christians and Jews around. They were left alone to practice their religions. How does that go with the "all mankind" belief? All religions were to all mankind around them, depending on the communications systems at the time, and Allah's plan. There is no privilege in the amount of land that a messenger covered or the number of people who complied. A messenger would follow All'as command, regardless.

2136 Say, "We acknowledge God and what was sent down to us and what was sent down to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, the Patriarchs, what was given to Moses and Jesus, and what was given to the prophets from their Lord; we do not make a distinction between any of them and to Him we are submitters."

4152 Those who acknowledge God and His messengers and do not make a distinction between any of them, We will give them their rewards. God is Forgiving, Compassionate.

                    The only distinction

829 O you who acknowledge, if you are aware of God, He will make for you a distinction, and He will cancel your sins and forgive you. God is possessor of great favor.

1779 From the night you shall reflect upon it additionally for yourself, perhaps your Lord would grant you to a high rank.

I am no longer a Sunna-rejecter. See 4:59-65, 62:2-4, 3:31, 4:156, 7:157 Messenger teaches and is to be followed and obeyed. Examples of revelation received which is not in the Qur'an: 3:123-126, 33:37, 2:187, 66:3, 62:9.

Of course God makes/does what He wills, but based on what? On justness and fairness OR the color of your eyes!?

                      Eid,

Why you asking me what how God wills or calculates things including the color of my eyes?

I guess I meant who inspires you. The debate has gone to another level. We are not making seperation and we are not rejecting one for another. They were all of one faith. Nufariq means seperate.

You obviously believe Muhammad. However the reason you gave about all of mankind does not make sense. Since Jesus and Moses and even David and Solomon are known by billions of people also.

We ar all one people, one mankind. Whoever was sent to somebody was also sent to all of us, because all and every people have a meaning, a sense in God's creationwhich all of us can discover, and even God's creation is a risala.

You are unable to differentiate between your own understanding/comprehension and Allah's words. Revise the ayah/ayahs you brought. You might realize that there are other meanings to it that the one you, as well as many others, thought.

                                  HAL-HAMDU-LILAHI
THIS IS NO TOPIC TO ARGUE ABOUT
IT IS SIMPLE AND STRAIGHT FORWARD
THE QURAN IS WIDE YET NARROW
THE QURAN IS COMPLEX YEST SELF EXPLANATORY
IT IS ONE YET THE COMBINATION OF ALL OTHER BOOKS
IT IS OF RELIGION YET ENCOMPASES THE WHOLE ACTIVITIES OF HUMAN LIFE
                                  IF THE ABOVE ARE TRUE
THEN THE NEXT TO THE QURAN IS THE HADITH
IF YOU READ SOME CHAPTERS OF THE QURAN AND BACK IT UP WITH THE ADITH OF THE MESSENGER OF ALLAH, YOU WILL FOUND OUT THIS THREE OPEN SECRET
1-WHEN ADAM WAS CREATED, HIS FIRST STATEMENT WAS (ALHAMDULILAH). IF YOU LOOK DEEPLY INTO THIS WORD- YOU WILL FIND IN IT THE NAME OF THE PROPHET(SAW)
2-MUHAMADU IS THE FIRST OF ALL CREATION BEFORE ADAM,EVEN WHEN ADAM FELL INTO SIN, AND WAS SEEKING FOR FORGIVENESS AND REPENTANCE, IT WAS THE TESTIFICATION (LAILAHA ILALAHU, MUHAMADU RASULULAHI)THAT BROUGHT ADAM BACK TO THE FACE OF ALLAH
3- IT WAS IN THE QURAN THAT ALLAH MENTIONED THAT (IT IS NOW THAT I HAVE SANTIFIED YOUR RELIGION FOR YOU, AND BROUGHT ISLAM AS THE UNIVERSAL RELIGION). THUS THE BRINGER OF ISLAM IS THE MOST BELOVED IN THE FACE OF ALLAH
                                  ALLAHU ALAMU
                                  MA SALAM

THEN THE NEXT TO THE QURAN IS THE HADITH

"These are God's revelations that We recite to you truthfully. In which Hadith other than God and His revelations do they believe?" 456

"Shall I seek other than God as a source of law, when He has revealed to you this book fully detailed?" 6114

6940 This is the utterance of an honorable messenger
6941 It is not the utterance of a poet; rarely do you acknowledge
6942 Nor the utterance of a soothsayer; rarely do you take heed
6943 A revelation from the Lord of the worlds
6944 And if he had ascribed his sayings to Us
6945 We would have seized him by the right
6946 Then, We would have severed his life-line
6947 None of you would be able to prevent it

"Say (O Muhammad) what is of the greatest testimony? Say God is the witness between me and you, and this Quran (not hadith and sunna) has been inspired to me, that I may warn you and whomever it reaches" 619

"The word of your Lord is complete in truth and justice" 6115

1746 We place shields over their hearts, that they should not understand it, and deafness in their ears. If you mention your Lord in the Quran alone, they run away turning their backs in aversion

                                    Muhammad was infallible
3450 Say, "If I go astray, I go astray because of my own shortcomings. And if I am guided, it is because of my Lord's inspiration. He is Hearer, Near."

                                    The true shahada
318 God bears witness that there is no god but He as do the angels, and those with knowledge; He is standing with justice. There is no god but Him, the Noble, the Wise

                                    fake shahada
631 When the hypocrites come to you they say, "We bear witness that you are the messenger of God." God knows that you are His messenger, and God bears witness that the hypocrites are liars

4213 He has decreed for you the same system/religion/deen He ordained for Noah, and what We inspired to you, and what We ordained for Abraham, Moses, and Jesus "You shall uphold this system/religion/deen, and do not divide in it." Intolerable for those who have set up partners is what you invite them towards. God chooses to Himself whoever/whomever He wills; He guides to Himself whoever repents.

395 Say, "God bears truth. Follow the creed of Abraham, monotheism, and he was not of those who set up partners."

Maybe you will obey the hadith

Narrated by Abu Said al-Khudri "Do not write down anything of me except the Quran. Whoever writes other than that should delete it" (Ahmed, Vol. 1, page 171.....also Sahih Muslim no. 7147)

                                    From Ibn Hanbal
Zayd Ibn Thabit (The Prophet's closest revelation writer) visited the Khalifa Mu'aawiyah (more than 30 years after the Prophet's death), and told him a story about the Prophet. Mu'aawiyah liked the story and ordered someone to write it down. But Zayd said. " the messenger of God ordered us NEVER to write anything of his hadith."

In the book "Taq-yeed Al-Ilm", Abu Saeed Al-Khudry said, " I asked the messenger of God a permission to write his hadiths, but he refused to give me a permission."

                                    Peace

I am no longer a Sunna-rejecter. See 4:59-65, 62:2-4, 3:31, 4:156, 7:157 Messenger teaches and is to be followed and obeyed. Examples of revelation received which is not in the Qur'an: 3:123-126, 33:37, 2:187, 66:3, 62:9.

Every prophet/messenger/warner/bringer of good news was a great human being , so we can't really say that one of them was a "first amongst equals" especially after all the verses cited . We may have a favorite prophet/messenger but that does not necessarily means he/she was the greatest .
