Peace all
Is the traditional understanding of the term ar-riba correct?
We read in the book that al-bay&a in oposition to ar-riba is permited, if i am not mistaken one of the meanings of bay&a is contract(mutual agreement)..could it be that usury/interest or gaining profit on lending money is unpermited only if it is not previously(prior to lending/borrowing)mutualy agreed upon?...that is in that case ar-riba would not reffer to any increasing over the the money lend but to asking increasement without the prior deal....
Looking forward to your input.....thanks in advance, (though one who seeks the gods pleasure doesn need it...)
Best wishes, Zlatan
