      The atheists say it's infinite. The big bang say's it's finite.

          This is a difficult question to answer without using a lot of complicated mathematics. It would seem from calculations that the universe is finite. If you calculate the acceleration and expansion since the big bang, then it is finite, it is still expanding at a faster rate than ever. But it is so large (from our perspective) that it may as well be infinite as we still cannot see the edge. Even if we could see the edge, by the time the light from there reaches us, the universe would be more than twice the size.
