Question about morals.

Respectfully.The Exalted God tells us to do or not do something, because He already knows whether it is moral or not but at the same time, He Most High, gives us Brains, Logic, Common Sense, to use them in the positive way. many traditionalists will disagree with this but what can you do?

Is something immoral or moral because God says so or
is something inherently immoral or moral?I mean, if God said go rape, murder and kill, would it be moral?

"So whatever you wish that men would do to you, do so to them; for this is the Law and the prophets." (Matt. 712)If there's a "God" who said to me go rape, murder and kill.. i would suspect of what kind of "God" is this?
And I will take my side to protect and defend those who's being raped, murdered and killed by those who think they said that their God ordered / granted them the right to rape, murder and kill.Why? because I don't like being raped,murdered or killed.. and I don't wish my fellow mate to do that on me...

Just a thought experiment...God would never order any of us to do such things since they are sins/not moral in the first place.

I believe God inserted in us th ability to feel ashamed, then He showed us what's accepted and what's not, and we turned them into moral and immoral. I do not think rape is naturally immoral, or even incest, walking naked..etc. Ancient civilizations practiced them. Now if we see accross religions, in some Moslem societies, marrying a child is not immoral since they " believe" God sanctioned it or the prophet did it. Marrying a cousin is highly recommended in some soieties whereas others consider it a kind of incest. Polyandry, too, is a necessite to some societies and is gruesome and a crime in others, as well as polygamy to some extent. These are all as far as sexual relations are concerned.
When it comes to cheating, lying, stealing...people will feel it's immoral only when they are told it's or when they are punished for it. I do not think we are programme not to tell a lie or feel ashamed to do so.IMO, I do not think anything is inherently immoral.

What if you were set in the position like Abraham was? If God told you to kill your son. Would you think, oh gosh thats not God, its probably satan or I'm hallucinating or would you go ahead with it? & How would you know? What would you do? -

I would not murder anybody for the silly purpose such as a 'human sacrifice' to some God.
Why? Because I would also don't like to be 'sacrificed' as an offering to some God.Although it is quite interesting on what would happen if Abraham's son reject the idea... will Abraham still insist on putting his son (whomever that is) as a human sacrifice?

is something inherently immoral or moral?The answer is that God is the "inherent" aspect of the universe. So that isn't an either/or statement. It is a both/and statement.
