There is a slight error in the English translation (quoted by huruf and me)

...that he might take rest in her so when he covered her...

      Still confused as all hell.

If it's referring to "nafs" and is not "gender specific" then what's all this talk about the female being before the male?

        Hi.

Quran says God created man from clay.

Yet says the spouse of the woman (I guess Adam) was created from her...

So...he was clay inside the woman?

Actually, if you read the bible carefully you will see that there are two different accounts of the creation of "man". One says that God created man and woman at the same time and a bit further on it says God created Adam and then created Eve from one of Adams ribs. So the question remains, were the man and woman created together actually Adam and Eve, or were they a different couple?

Man screw the bible. In fact one of the greatest most common falsehoods in it is the supposed creation of Eve from Adam. It's also plagiarized in the hadith from the bible. People don't like the fact the woman apparently owns the man when it comes to creation so they like to create their own fantasy fiction where the man tells the woman "you're a part of me, therefore you'z mine bidge!!!" nope and say Eve was created from a crooked rib of Adam to teach us the falsehood that women are "crooked" thus morally and mentally deficient when we all know this is disproven by science and even common sense, as well as God in the Quran.

                    Respectfully.

I agree, in fact i believe that it is time and the right place for sisters to raise and take a firm stand, God willing against the corrupt men.
I'm willing to help anyway i can.
                    And i will, God willing.

                        bravo

                        From the Quran

3195 Their Lord responded to them "I never fail to reward any worker among you for any work you do, be you male or female - you are equal to one another. Thus, those who immigrate, and get evicted from their homes, and are persecuted because of Me, and fight and get killed, I will surely remit their sins and admit them into gardens with flowing streams." Such is the reward from GOD. GOD possesses the ultimate reward.

I am no longer a Sunna-rejecter. See 4:59-65, 62:2-4, 3:31, 4:156, 7:157 Messenger teaches and is to be followed and obeyed. Examples of revelation received which is not in the Qur'an: 3:123-126, 33:37, 2:187, 66:3, 62:9.

I meant biologically, all foetuses begin as female, so that is the default gender. The Y chromosome kicks in later, apparently.

The ovaries only have X chromosomes, namely XX. The sperms have XY. This doesnt mean that the foetuses are female. It just means that the sperm decides the gender.

But does that also mean that men are a deformity, having one leg of a chromosome missing? &

It only means that the gender of the baby is decided by the sperm, contrary to sexist/superstitous med?eval European belief.

This historic male dominance (not just European) has a lot to answer for, it has deprived the world of some very cleaver, farsighted women, burned them at the stake, drowned them, and generally eradicated them for long periods of time. Even though I am male, I support equality for women with a passion.
