Who are 'Al-Alameen'?

Al-Alameen is almost always translated as 'the worlds'. But isn't the world called the 'Heavens and the Earth'.

Other plausible possibilites is

-The Humans
-The Humans, the Jinn and the Angels = Sentient beings.
-The Israelites - as they have detailed knowledge of God.
-The two lives - this and the next.

I think it's accurately translated, referring descriptively to "the universe", which encompasses everything within it, or perhaps everything within the realms of creation... Just my view...
