    What is TAMATTAcA?

    CAN ANYONE EXPLAIN

    WA- ATIMMO AL- H.AJJ WA- AL- cUMRAH LI- 'ALLAAH FA- 'IN UH.S.IRTUM FA- MAA ISTAYSARA MIN AL- HADY WA- LAA TAH.LIQO RU'OS -KUM H.ATTAA YABLUGH AL- HADY MAH.ILL -HU FA- MAN KAANA MIN -KUM MARED.(AN) 'AW BI- -HI 'ADHA(N) MIN RA'S -HI FA- FIDYAH MIN S.IYAAM 'AW S.ADAQAH 'AW NUSUK FA- 'IDHAA 'AMINTUM FA- MAN TAMATTAcA BI- AL- cUMRAH 'ILAA AL- H.AJJ FA- MAA ISTAYSARA MIN AL- HADY FA- MAN LAM YAJID FA- S.IYAAM THALAATHAH AYYAAM FE AL- H.AJJ WA- SABcAH 'IDHAA RAJAcTUM TILKA cASHARAH KAAMILAH DHAALIKA LI- MAN LAM YAKUN 'AHL -HU H.AAD.IRE AL- MASJID AL- H.ARAAM WA- ITTAQO 'ALLAAH WA- IcLAMO 'ANNA 'ALLAAH SHADED AL- cIQAAB 2196

    And perform properly (i.e. all the ceremonies according to the ways of Prophet Muhammad SAW), the Hajj and 'Umrah (i.e. the pilgrimage to Makkah) for Allah. But if you are prevented (from completing them), sacrifice a Hady (animal, i.e. a sheep, a cow, or a camel, etc.) such as you can afford, and do not shave your heads until the Hady reaches the place of sacrifice. And whosoever of you is ill or has an ailment in his scalp (necessitating shaving), he must pay a Fidyah (ransom) of either observing Saum (fasts) (three days) or giving Sadaqah (charity - feeding six poor persons) or offering sacrifice (one sheep). Then if you are in safety and whosoever performs the 'Umrah in the months of Hajj, before (performing) the Hajj, (i.e. Hajj-at-Tamattu' and Al-Qiran), he must slaughter a Hady such as he can afford, but if he cannot afford it, he should observe Saum (fasts) three days during the Hajj and seven days after his return (to his home), making ten days in all. This is for him whose family is not present at Al-Masjid-al-Haram (i.e. non-resident of Makkah). And fear Allah much and know that Allah is Severe in punishment. 2196 (DR.MOHSIN KHAN)

    MATAc = enjoy
    MUMATTAc = enjoyable
    YUMATTAc, YASTAMTAc, ISTAMTAc. = enjoyment feast relish banquet regale fruition pleasure

    The four translations for

    FA- MAN TAMATTAcA BI- AL- cUMRAH 'ILAA AL- H.AJJ

    And whosoever performs the 'Umrah in the months of Hajj, before (performing) the Hajj, (i.e. Hajj-at-Tamattu' and Al-Qiran) (Dr. Mohsin Khan)

    (Again) if anyone wishes to continue the 'Umra on to the Hajj (Abdullah Yousuf Ali)

    Then whosoever contenteth himself with the Visit for the Pilgrimage (Pickthall)

    Whosoever combineth 'Umra with the pilgrimage, (Daryabadi)

    The correct translation

    FA- Then MAN whoever TAMATTAcA enjoys BI- in / with AL- cUMRAH Minor Pilgrimage 'ILAA unto AL- H.AJJ the Pilgrimage

    TAMATTAc in the Quran

    FA- cAQARO -HAA FA- QAALA TAMATTAcO FE DAAR -KUM THALAATHAH AYYAAM DHAALIKA WAcD GHAYR MAKDHOB 1165

    But they killed her. So he said "ENJOY (TAMATTAcO) yourselves in your homes for three days. This is a promise (i.e. a threat) that will not be belied." 1165

    And they set up rivals to Allah, to mislead (men) from His Path! Say "ENJOY (TAMATTAcO) (your brief life)! But certainly, your destination is the (Hell) Fire!" 1430

    Leave them to eat and ENJOY (YATAMATTAcO), and let them be preoccupied with (false) hope. They will come to know! 153

    (As if) to show their ingratitude for the favors We have bestowed on them! Then ENJOY (TAMATTAcO) (your brief day); but soon will ye know (your folly)! 1655

    So that they become ingrate for that which We have given them, and that they take their ENJOYMENT (YATAMATTAcO) (as a warning and a threat), but they will come to know. 2966

    So as to be ungrateful for the graces which We have bestowed on them. Then ENJOY (TAMATTAcO) (your short life); but you will come to know. 3034

    And when some hurt touches man, he cries to his Lord (Allah Alone), turning to Him in repentance, but when He bestows a favour upon him from Himself, he forgets that for which he cried for before, and he sets up rivals to Allah, in order to mislead others from His Path. Say "Take PLEASURE (TAMATTAc) in your disbelief for a while surely, you are (one) of the dwellers of the Fire!" 398

    Verily Allah will admit those who believe and do righteous deeds to Gardens beneath which rivers flow; while those who reject Allah will ENJOY (YATAMATTAcON) (this world) and eat as cattle eat; and the Fire will be their abode. 4712

    And in Thamud (there is also a sign), when they were told "ENJOY (TAMATTAcO) (yourselves for a while!" 5143

    (O ye Unjust!) Eat ye and ENJOY (TAMATTAcO) yourselves (but) a little while for that ye are Sinners. 7746

    Also (forbidden are) women already married, except those (captives and slaves) whom your right hands possess. Thus has Allah ordained for you. All others are lawful, provided you seek (them in marriage) with Mahr (bridal money given by the husband to his wife at the time of marriage) from your property, desiring chastity, not committing illegal sexual intercourse, so with those of whom you have ENJOYED (ISTAMTAc) sexual relations, give them their Mahr as prescribed; but if after a Mahr is prescribed, you agree mutually (to give more), there is no sin on you. Surely, Allah is Ever All?Knowing, All?Wise. 424

    In the day when He will gather them together (He will say) O ye assembly of the jinn! Many of humankind did ye seduce. And their adherents among humankind will say Our Lord! We ENJOYED (ISTAMTAcA) one another, but now we have arrived at the appointed term which Thou appointedst for us. He will say Fire is your home. Abide therein for ever, save him whom Allah willeth (to deliver). Lo! thy Lord is Wise, Aware. 6128

    Like those before you, they were mightier than you in power, and more abundant in wealth and children. They had enjoyed their portion awhile, so ENJOY (ISTAMTAcO) your portion awhile as those before you ENJOYED (ISTAMTAc) their portion awhile; and you indulged in play and pastime (and in telling lies against Allah and His Messenger Muhammad SAW) as they indulged in play and pastime. Such are they whose deeds are in vain in this world and in the Hereafter. Such are they who are the losers. 969

    On the Day when those who disbelieve (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism) will be exposed to the Fire (it will be said) "You received your good things in the life of the world, and you took your PLEASURE ((ISTAMTAc) therein. Now this Day you shall be recompensed with a torment of humiliation, because you were arrogant in the land without a right, and because you used to rebel and disobey (Allah). 4620

    Throughout the Quran the word TAMMATAc is translated as enjoy or pleasure according to the dictionary meaning but in this particular verse the four translators translated as

    Is there any person who ENJOYS in the Minor Pilgrimage unto the Pilgrimage?

    From which source did the writers of Hadith got this information of Hajj e Tammatu, Hajj e Qiran and other types of Hajj. Did Allah reveal this in the Quran? Did Allah give them permission to invent of their own?

    Thanks
