Khomeini on Woman and Her Periods
-
Khomeini says alot of things. Pesonally I think it would be really gross to have sexual relations with someone during the mensturation.
BTW from what I know Shias allow sodomy though Sunni's don't be it in or out of the menstrural period.According to Bukhari Prophet also used to have sexual relations with his wives during the menstruation
Bukhari
303 . . .
http//www.al-eman.com/hadeeth/viewchp.asp?BID=13&CID=12#s7
Narrated 'Abdur-Rahman bin Al-Aswad (on the authority of his father) 'Aisha said "Whenever Allah's Apostle wanted to have intercourse with anyone of us during her periods (menses), he used to order her to put on an Izar and then had the intercourse." 'Aisha added, "None of you could control his sexual desires as the Prophet could."
Note the sarcastic statement at the end Aisha added, None of you could control his sexual desires as the Prophet could.

This is hardly the creation of Khomeini. He is just parroting what is in the books of Islamic Jurisprudence by the four imams.
Which four imams? Khomaini was a shia and did not follow the four imams of the sunnis.
(2222) They ask thee concerning women's courses. Say They are a hurt and a pollution So keep away from women in their courses, and do not approach them until they are clean. But when they have purified themselves, ye may approach them in any manner, time, or place ordained for you by Allah. For Allah loves those who turn to Him constantly and He loves those who keep themselves pure and clean.
So what Khomaini says is clearly against this verse.

The difference between shiaa and sunnis concerns some narrators rejected by shiaa and endorsed by sunnis and vise versa. Their points of agreement are more than those of disagreement. No wonder you find little difference btween their two "islamic" states.
You ask whta four imams?
Look up Ibn Rush's (Averroes) his book on Comparativ Fiqh (Bidayat al-Mujtahid wa Nihayat al0 MuqtaSid) Vol 1 page 74 (Chapter on washing) On the man having intercourse with his wife while she is mentrating
Mlik, Shafi3i and Abu Hanifa say he just says atagfirullah, and he is not sinning.
Ahmed Ibn Hanbal says h should pay one dinar or half a dinar, according to a hadith narrated by Ibn ?abbas that the prophet said whoever have intercourse with his wife during her menses should donate one dinar, and in another version of this hadith half a dinar. What Khomeini says is definitely aginst the teachings of the qur'aan, but not against the teachings of "our credible scholars" nor of the "hadiths".

It means those scholars were also confused about the verses of quran. Like some people argue about the intoxicants that Allah only said to avoid but didn't say it haram. So may be those scholars also didn't find the word haram for approaching wives during menses. So they prefered their ijtihad. ;D
May God give some wisdom to all of us.

Maybe those confused about intoxicants could not see the strength of prohibition in "avoid it".
What in this verse makes those imams or others confused? It has a negative command just like "Don't set partners with God" or "dont kill your children fo fear of poverty/need/hunger) and all the negative commands in the Straight Path

Well, their big bro has the certificate to blind the people from God's clear signs. I have noticed even from the quran as well that people who follow their big bro has the same excuses from the time of Nuh till today. )

?Why do you only read the Quranic verses of mercy and do not read the verses of killing? Quran says; kill, imprison! Why are you only clinging to the part that talks about mercy? Mercy is against God. Mehrab means the place of war, the place of fighting. Out of the mehrabs, wars should proceed, just as all the wars of Islam used to proceeded out of the mehrabs. The Prophet has sword to kill people. Our Imams were quite military men. All of them were warriors. They used to wield swords; they used to kill people. We need a Khalifa who would chop hands, cut throat, stone people in the same way that the messenger of God used to chop hands, cut throats, and stone people. In the same way that he massacred the Jews of Bani Qurayza because they were a bunch of discontent people. If the Prophet used to order to burn a house or exterminate a tribe, that was justice.?
What a moron laugh

Man.. that's ridiculous..
I can't believe the tradionalist / sunni, given
- They DON'T ALLOW women during her periods TO PRAY!
- They ALLOW men to have SEX with women during her period, because somebody said the prophet also DO THE SAME THING!
- They have brain to think, but apparently they're not using it..
Salam / Peace

Umm...sodomy does not only have one meaning. From what I understand it is any kind of sex other than the mainstream (which, some scholars of Quran claim is the only allowable type of sex).
Sunnis and Shias/Shiites both approve of sodomy, only Sunni's reject the anal kind. In fact I've heard long (descriptive yuck) fatwas on how a man can insert his cock in a woman's breasts, mouth, thighs and actually any fold of her body, as if she's simply some kind of sex object. )

They won't say they're bs if they're from a "profound scholar." It is sad to know today, Islam does not take Allah as their God but rather their scholars. Their religion is ENTIRELY dependant on scholarly opinion. That is who all the traditional muslims turn to for guidance. Unfortunately, even if they take the Quran + Hadith, they can't practice their religion without the consensus of the scholars (their gods) because ANYONE can take Quran + hadith in the context they desire (in fact if you take the hadith, your religion can be so damn easy it wouldn't even be right to call yourself religious. For example, imagine someone taking the hadith "saying subhannallah 2500 times forgives 2500 sins" in the context they like. Oh boy. laugh. Scholars are their gods on Earth. Now, I'm not saying anyone who listens to the advice of a scholar or follows the hadith is an idol-worshipper. I've always held the opinion that God looks into your heart, and sees who you were really worshipping. If you think Quran advocated the Sunna, good for you. God doesn't trick, and I don't think he's tricking me when I read "what other source besides God's revelation do you believe in" among many other verses with the label "Quran alone".
