"The Mala'ikah could be composed of an innumerable number of creations, with Iblis of the Djinn being one of them. Perhaps the Malaak of gravity, math, chemistry, etc. all acquiesced and submitted to Man except the Malaak of passion, unpredictability and desire represented by fire. God knows best. "

That's interesting. I've been thinking along the same track for a while now. Look at this verse (5017), for example

Dr. Mohsin (Remember!) that the two receivers (recording angels) receive (each human being), one sitting on the right and one on the left (to note his or her actions)]
Pickthal When the two Receivers receive (him), seated on the right hand and on the left,
Yusuf Ali Behold two (guardian angels) appointed to learn (his doings) learn (and note them), one sitting on the right and one on the left.

The two receivers on the left and on the right are often interpreted as two angels. Maybe these two receivers/angels/controllers are actually the brain, as in the right side of the brain and the left side. As we all know, the brain is the centre of our entire nervous system and our whole body depends on it. One cannot touch, hear, move, smell, speak without first sending signals to the brain.
Then again, the Qur'an also describes in verse 1311 two receivers/angels/controllers behind and in front of the person. However, if we look at the brain, we do often describe it as being divided into two parts but there are actually four lobes. On the right and on the left are the parietal and the temporal lobe, and behind and in front are the occipital and frontal lobe. This is just a thought. I will be researching on this. Allah knows best.

This is a very interesting perspective on this issue, and it seems to make perfect sense... I'm going to do some research on this too. It's a very good conclusion...

                    Peace,

                    Ahmad

                                        What is a Jinn?

LOL might take years to answer that one. There are lots of theories on Jinns. I'd use the search function on satan/jinns.

Beings created before us from fire. They include Satan and his followers. Some regard them as fallen angels.
