Why not simply "The Law" ?

Salamun alaykum
Instead of "al Masjid al Haraam" translated as "The Inviolable Institution of Obedience " , why not simply call it THE LAW ?
By the Law I mean The Government ( The Executive , The Legislature and The Judiciary ) . If we are to take Muslim to mean
"peacemaker or peaceful person" then I suggest that , muslim can also mean " Law Abiding Citizen " .
Are we not told by the Message to Ruku' (respect) and to Sujud (obey) whenever we enter a Gate of a city ?
We are also told to turn our faces towards al Masjidil Haraam or to "Be Mindful of The Law wherever we are ?
It would be great if some Brothers or Sisters in this Forum could write up a Glossary of Key Terms in a simple language for those of us
who follow Islam as a Way of Life instead of a Rituals loaded religion .

http//nadeem.reflekterselv.com/rootsearch.phpI have tried typing in H-R-M and Ha-Ra-Mim and also tried typing word in such as sacred/inviolable/forbidden but I think I am using it backwards because I want to know what "Masjid al-haraam" and typing other people's translations in to see if they are correct doesn't seem to bring me any closer to the truth. What am I doing wrong please?

On the page I linked you to, it says the following

How do you know to use Siin-Jiim-Dal and not Miim-Siin-Jiim-Dal for "Masjid"? Do you always take the last 3?many thanks

Masjid Al-Haraam....
Is this the same word "Haraam" which is the opposite of "Helal"? So Haraam = prohibited/forbidden/illegal and Helal means legal/allowed/lawful?
So does Masjid al-haraam mean the illegal mosque?

Not the same 'haram'. Masjid al haram is a noun. The 'haram' that you speak of is a verb.
How do you recognize one from the other?
word form, context, grammar, etc.. Arabic is very precise in this way.
