Debate- what constitutes a marriage?

Two unbelievers can be faithful? Yet most atheists do not get into such agreements, they waft into fornication. The majority never get into marriage, and have many failed relationships.

Common knowedge that a couple is living as spouses doesn't that amount to making everyone witnesses to their relationship?
Beside what is the difference when a believing couple decide not to have childern until they are either sure of their relationship or want to establish themselves first? Does their relationship amount to fornication too??

Two human beings can enter into a monogamous sexual relationship with each other and no one else till their days are over, without believing in the existence of a creator. Yes.

Yet most atheists do not get into such agreements, they waft into fornication.

So, for a relationship to qualify as a marriage and not just fornication, I have to give the girl some money and let a lot of people know before I stick it in her?

The majority never get into marriage, and have many failed relationships.

I'd rather a failed relationship based on fornication than a failed marriage where kids are involved. But I can have either-or with or without kids. Which makes things too complicated.
