Salam brothers, and sisters,
I am Eliah. I have been a muslim for just about 3-13 months-ish. I stated "l ilha ill allh" about 3 or 4 months in. I hadn't been confortable with that which people stated after that, that Muhammad is a prophet of God, because I thought, "what about all the prophets of God before Muhammad?". I just didn't think it would be right to state it like that. It's for God and I. Though, for the months after that, I would've been described as "Sunni". About 10 or 11 months in I became sort of unsure, I liked Sunnism, I do like Sunnism, but I no longer thought "this is from God, and God alone". And at this time I am of the perspective that the book is from God, and God alone, and that in that book is all that I have to be muslim.
Of course though I do think I need more perspective from time to time. And that is what this is for.
What else would you like to know?

Salaam Eliah and welcome to the forum handshake
BLUE Maybe replacing "that book" with "myself" is also a good way to become a better person.
