I have been debating with a Sunni. When I said Quran explains itself, he brought some verses and claimed that without the hadith you can not explain the following verses.226 "God does not shy away from putting forth the example of a
mosquito, or anything above it. As for those who believe, they
know that it is the truth from their Lord. As for the rejecters,
they say ?What does God intend with this example?? He strays
many by it, and He guides many by it; but He only strays by it the
wicked"He asks where in the Quran the example of a mosquito was mentioned which caused the pagans of Mecca to question God's such examples.
And then the following verse
1760 "And when We said to you ?Your Lord has encompassed the
people.? And We did not make the vision that We showed you
except as a test for the people, and the tree that was cursed in the
Qur?an. And We are making them fearful, but it only increases
their transgression. "He says which tree was cursed in the Quran and was a test? And which vision was it?
