More (gasp!) Women In Hell?

Some explanations I've heard for these hadiths (from women themselves!) are
~the same thing about numbers, that there are more women than men so it's a matter of just being more women. But that's not what the hadith is saying....
~because women go about with their heads uncovered and dressed badly, and because they make men stray from being good.

When my father was a small kid he was told that women are devils (or something like that).
Maybe that came from this hadith
Jabir reported that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) saw a woman, and so he came to his wife, Zainab, as she was tanning a leather and had sexual intercourse with her. He then went to his Companions and told them The woman advances and retires in the shape of a devil, so when one of you sees a woman, he should come to his wife, for that will repel what he feels in his heart.

When a woman comes she comes in the form of a devil. (Ihya' 'Uloum ed-Din by Ghazali, Dar al-Kotob al-'Elmeyah, Beirut, vol. II, Kitab Adab al-Nikah, P.33)Oh, and this one is lovely too

Respectfully.Sister, i honestly don't believe that, i will never accept that there will be more women in The HellFire then men, i also think and believe that there will be more men in The HellFire, but then again, God knows best, right?
If you look at the history of the human beings, you'll see that it was men and still are the men who cause all the problems in the world in every single area/department

Taliban,
Usama bin Laden,
Stalin,
Lenin,
Adolph Hitler,
Mussollini,
Slobodan Milosevic,
Radovan Karadzic,
Ratko Mladic,
Vojislav Seselj,
Nikolai Cheuchecsku,

and so on and on and on and so on.Women always get killed for being peaceful Princess Diana Spencer was killed for not joining the freemasons, Bhutto got shot for being a woman and speaking in public, of course, whenever a man wants to speak up for peace and fight for it, he also gets shot JFK, Lincoln, ....right?

perhaps it was just a misinterpretation of a future events that the prophet saw while having an obe.in the astral realms he could have seen women suffering in hell,
but what is hell really, it's a state of mind which can be experienced here on earth,and if you think about it, there are a lot of women in the world suffering, seems like there's more women then men in "hell" here. but then again that's my opinion, seems the only logical possibility.

"Among the people, there are those who uphold baseless HADITH, and thus divert others from the path of God without knowledge, and take it in vain. These have incurred a shameful retribution." 316
"God has revealed herein the BEST HADITH; a book that is consistent and points out both ways (to heaven and hell). The skins of those who reverence their Lord cringe therefrom, then their skins and their hearts soften up for God's message. Such is God's guidance; he bestows it upon whomever He wills. As for those sent astray by God, nothing can guide them." 3923
"These are God's revelations (Quran) that we recite to you truthfully. In which HADITH other than God and His revelations do they believe?" 456
"Let them produce a HADITH like this (Quran) if they are truthful." 5234
"Therefore, let Me deal with those who reject this HADITH(Quran); we will lead them on whence they never perceive." 6844
"Which HADITH other than this do they uphold?" 7750
Why did God permitted these so called Hadiths ? The answer is in next verse.
"We have permitted the enemies of every prophet - human and jinn devils - to inspire in each other FANCY WORDS , in order to deceive. Had your Lord willed, they would not have done it. You shall disregard them and their FABRICATIONS. This is to let the minds of those who do not believe in the Hereafter listen to such FABRICATIONS, and accept them, and thus expose their real convictions.

There are other hadiths (as mentioned in this thread) that there are more women than men in heaven. Considering that there are about equal numbers of males and females born in this world in all eras, doesn't it make it logically impossible for both the hadiths to be true?
This sounds like a glaring contradiction.
From Muhammad Asad's translation of the Quran we have
(4 82
Will they not, then, try to understand this Qur?an? Had it issued from any but God, they would surely have found in it many an inner contradiction!*
*I.e., the fact that it is free of all inner contradictions - in spite of its having been revealed gradually, over a period of twenty-three years - should convince them that it has not been "composed by Muhammad" (an accusation frequently levelled against him not only by his contemporaries but also by non-believers of later times), but could only have originated from a supra-human source. See also 25 32 and 39 23.)
The difference between the hadith collections and the great Quran become very clear after just a cursory reading of both.

Devout sunni's believe the majority opinion/established opinion by scholars. Therefore yes, they believe more women are in hell than men (which isn't a surprise since sexist, ignorant men fabricated the hadith regarding this and all hadith in general, besides God's of course).

They do not believe the houris are actual women who have lived on this planet.
Therefore that opinion is exactly what they would say. In fact it is pretty much an actual (fabricated) hadith.

Actually, I think the general sunni consenus is that they aren't...dumb....or less intelligent. However the general consensus that they are the majority in hell is still funny. So it's easier to go to hell for not being thankful enough to your husband than it is for cleansing Europe of Jews via torture camps and driving planes into buildings killing hundreds of unsuspecting people.
