If you ever use cooking oil, try using it on your Cars.

This is a HUUUUGE misconception. The average smoker starts in his/her teens years. It starts by maybe 1 pack a week or 1 pack every 2 weeks. This might not seem very unhealthy, but the first symptoms start (e.g. worse sense of taste, asthma, need to catch for air more frequently during exercise/worse fitness). Then, after that, the addiction kicks in (and I am talking about smoking less than a pack per day).

There is arsenic (rat poison), tar (used for road-building) and over 4,000 other chemicals in a cigarette. This is absolutely NO comparison to candy/sugar.

Also, you are missing the fact that smoking is highly addictive, so there is no "oh, I'll smoke a pack today, then I'll take a break from cigs for all of next week, then smoke another pack, then take a break..." - It is highly addictive and very unhealthy, to say the least.

Another thing that I'd like to point out is that there is a physical AND a psychological addiction to smoking cigarettes, yet for shisha its mostly/always only psychological.

Average smoker =/= all smokers. I am not disagreeing with what you are saying. I am just saying we consume things on a daily basis, similar to cigarettes.

Like I said, chain smoking is not recommended. There are similar ingredients in our snacks (e.g. petroleum in Twinkies). I would say sugar is at least as addictive.
