Purify&Purification

Salam,

I want to understand the meaning of "purify" and "contribute towards purification"; so I compiled the verses with the words (about 50 verses if I didn't miss any). However, I still don't understand what the meaning behind these words are.

I checked the meaning of the word purify and got this from dictionary.com.;
1.
to make pure; free from anything that debases, pollutes, adulterates, or contaminates
to purify metals.
2.
to free from foreign, extraneous, or objectionable elements
to purify a language.
3.
to free from guilt or evil.
4.
to clear or purge (usually followed by of or from).
5.
to make clean for ceremonial or ritual use.

So in this sense it is mostly about number 3 . However, it says contribute towards purification; but is it for oneself or for someone else?
Then there are these verses;

803 And what makes you know, perhaps he is seeking to purify?
807 And why does it concern you that he does not want to purify?

but also this;

9218 The one who gives his money to purify.

What is purify and contribute towards purification?

Look tthe metal, in one of your lines it says "purify metals"
?What do you purify metals for? You purify them for some use, and the measure in which you will purify them will e dependent on that use, it must be t the degree that the metal can be aplied to the pursued use.

Same with verything else. Yu purify for the purpose of getting back to God by the less painful way, the sirat al mustaqi

With the zakat you purify your oney. Money must serve life, our earthly life, not to make us loose track of who we are and what is the purpose of our existence and how we achieve it. ONe aspect of the way to achieve the purpose of our existence is that we share whatver wealth we have so that all people have enough to live, to give of our ealth to attain that end purifies our money, our fortune.

Prophets are purified to be able tocarry out their mission as prophts. They are purfiied in thoughts and deed s that their behaviour can serve as a good example.

In order to know ourselves we must purify our ineligence by being absolutely truthful with ourselves. Donot tell ourselves lies because we may feel less guilty thinking this or that even if it is not accurate. We then can purify our motives, knowing why we act whether it is really out of conviction or out of fear. Purify implies in the first place that we know what we have fore us o that once we now what exactly we are dealing with and what we want to attain we can purify what we have, be it our personality, our friends our occupations, we can purify ll that to attain what we want to attain.

If you are planning a wild garden, you will purify it from specie or varities that are ot wild, if you want a rose garden you will clean it ancd purify it of any other flowers or wild herbs or anything else.
