I was wondering this question as well. Will we ever know Jesus's exact words and his gospel? One of the avenues I've taken was to look at the Q document (Q standing for the german word quelle, meaning "source&quot hypothesis. Basically, that the Gospels of Matthew and Luke used Mark, which is considered by many the first written Gospel and the Q document that was a record of Jesus's sayings that was made before the gosepls were written.
Even though the Gospel of John mentions the Prophet, this Gospel seems more fabricated to me as it makes claims to Jesus being God.

here are a couple links if you are interested

    http//www.earlychristianwritings.com/q.html

    http//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Q_document

keep in mind, Q isn't proven at all, but looking into this and looking at what Jesus says in the first three "synoptic" gospels of the new test has helped give me and idea of the Gospel given to Jesus.

WHAT?? LOL!! The Gospel and Torah of Mohammad's time are available in their original language.

We have the Gospel in Greek and Aramaic. Which language did Mohammad read the Gospel and Torah?

LOL!! You are correct, I don't believe you.

      Hi pvb

Are they available on the internet?

      Thanks.

So, the original Gospel was in Greek? hmm

As far as in Aramaic, I'm interested if you could point me to it. And I mean original Aramaic Gospel. Not an Aramaic translation of King James.

The Gospel in the Qur'an is not the Gospel that is in the Greek New Testament....

          Peace,

I would disagree. The word Injeel is a word borrowed from greek. The word for "gospel" in greek is Euangellion. If you take off the case ending and leave it as its greek root, the word is Euangel. Transliterate the word into arabic, and you get Injeel.

"Taurat" is a loan word from Hebrew meaning "law" or "instruction." It would make sense that the word for the Christian scriptures would also be borrowed from the Greek word for "good news".

Alhamdullilah all of Allah's prophets had came and gone. And we now wait for a messenger of the covenent that will come and authenticate all revealed books as the message of God to humanity (sorry am not refering to the messenger that will deny one or two verses from any book, be it Quran, Taurah or Injeej) Allah informed us that the Quran is authenticating the Taurah and Injeel. So for someone to say the Taurah and the Injeel we have today is corrupt he will have to explain there verses 543,44,46 and 68; 4136; 1091; 159; 634. And then tell us when it was corrupted, how it was corrupted, and why was it corrupted anyway. Akulu kauli wal hamdulillahi rabil alamin.

You're awaiting the "messenger of the covenant", but you reject Rashad Khalifa? ) Rashad is the only person who came on the Islaamic scene claiming to hold this status/title. In reality, the title "messenger of the covenant" is not mentioned in the Qur'aan at all, and neither is the idea that he's going to somehow authenticate all revealed books as Allah's word. So, where did you get this from if not from Dr. Khalifa?

I think you should read the Quran again or let me help u Q381 And when God took the COVENANT of the prophets for what He gave you of the book then there will come a MESSENGER authenticating what is with you of the book...
The verse is self explanatory or do you want more explanation?

Okay... &nbsp Maybe YOU should read the Qur'aan again... Or better yet, let me help you...

And when Allah made a covenant through the prophets "Certainly what I have given you of book/scripture and wisdom; then a messenger comes to you verifying that which is with you..." (Q. 381)

That passage is directed towards the other prophets, which is why Allah told them that the messenger would verify what He had given them of the scripture; during that time, the entire book/scripture wasn't revealed. By reading the context, you'll notice that the quoted part ("&quot aren't the words of Allah, they're the words of the prophets, directed toward their people. The messenger would complete the scripture (i.e. with the Qur'aan)... Also, the prophets themselves couldn't support this messenger, since they appeared at different times. Therefore, this covenant is not made between the prophets and Allah, but rather it's with the prophets and their people. That's why verse 84 goes on to show the acceptance of the people (of the prophets) toward all the messengers of Allah. The people were required by their prophets to aid and support the coming messenger who would verify the part of the book that they had received, and the previous scriptures are confirmed by the Qur'aan.

The verse (when in context) seems pretty self-explanatory to me too... &nbsp

And by the way, can you point out the title "messenger of the covenant" anywhere in the Qur'aan?

                    Salam Ahmad,
I think you are missing something, the verse informs us that this covenant was taken from the prophets so excluding Muhammad from the covenant will definately exclude him from the prophets which will violet 3340. And for your information Muhammad was included in the covenant as detailed in 337. And for the title "messenger of the covenant" I doubt if you will believe it since maybe you have some explanation for this ayat 24. You know what I mean right?

                      Wa Salaam Justice,

I think you are missing something, the verse informs us that this covenant was taken from the prophets so excluding Muhammad from the covenant will definately exclude him from the prophets which will violet 3340. And for your information Muhammad was included in the covenant as detailed in 337. And for the title "messenger of the covenant" I doubt if you will believe it since maybe you have some explanation for this ayat 24. You know what I mean right?

I understand what you're saying, but you also have to look at the complete context of the passage. The verse Q. 381 is not a self-standing passage, it's is directly in line with the other surrounding verses. The passages before it are speaking of the Jews and Nazarenes, telling them to serve Allah alone and practice Islaam (which they were taught in the scripture). Then, verse 81 says that a messenger would come confirming the book that these people ("ahl al kitaab&quot had received, in the forms of the Torah and Evangel. After that, verse 84 says that the people declared that they would accept Islaam and all the prophets equally. What's necessary to note in that verse is that Muhammad is not mentioned anywhere; only the Jewish prophets are mentioned, the prophets of the Jews and Nazarenes... Then, even after this, verse 86 says that these people rejected the messenger, saying they disbelieved after believing. This is because they accepted Islaam in the past (in the forms of Judaism and Nazarenism), but they later rejected Muhammad and the Qur'aan.

Read Q. 381-91, and you should understand the entire context of the passage and who this "messenger" would be... Like I said, Muhammad is not excluded from the assembly of prophets, but 381 is not giving a quote from Allah to the prophets; it's a quote from the prophets to their people. The people were told to believe in and support the coming messenger, who would verify the (at that time) existing scriptures... If this is referring to Allah talking to His prophets, then how can Abraham, Noah, Jesus, Moses, Muhammad, David, or Solomon believe in and support a "messenger of the covenant" in our days? All those prophets are dead, at least on our plane of existence. There's no way they could believe in and support a messenger now.
