There is a difference. Is that Muslims believe that big square is something like the house of God metaphorically speaking ofc. Moreover, it's for all the Muslims to pray in the same direction. However, the Jews believed the golden cow saved them or the cow god or wtvr lol.

A traditional muslim think its the focal point for their prays to God alone...the are worshiping their God not the kabba
