    Salaam,

I have written an explanation of Salat, but a friend of mine tells me, even if I am correct, my view will drive away Muslims from many of my other understandings due to my explanation of Salat.

My question is what arguments exist to refute my contentions, would you please explain in detail any relevant points, this will help me to improve my explanation, or revise my views, thank you in advance.

    The essay in question is

    http//servantofthelight.com/content/view/22/49/

    Peace
    In your article you said

Before I begin talking of Salat, consider the history of the devolution of Islamic knowledge, so resulting in a gradual transformation of the Qur?an, not physically but through the altering of the meanings of the language, which leaves the text unaltered, resulting in the removal of a clear understanding, and so the man made corruptions dominate the actions of the people.

Would you please explain the underlined text with some examples and evidence ?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards

Please a few relevant examples and evidence here if you have.
From such article many other questions arise which remain answered.
This is a new method of escape from the answer "please look into www.blablabla.com".

          Salaams Br. Nur,

i think you are confused somewhat, i think you are literally taking Salaat and DaAA as desire - should take up a dictionary and see the differance in the two words as a starter.

          Salaam.

            Salaam simple,

please read the essay before passing comment, there is no confusion, and I do not ever say the word desire is a synonym of Salat, Salat is a concept, therefore can not be exchanged for any single english word.

All of your article is based on the assumption

Before I begin talking of Salat, consider the history of the devolution of Islamic knowledge, so resulting in a gradual transformation of the Qur?an, not physically but through the altering of the meanings of the language, which leaves the text unaltered, resulting in the removal of a clear understanding, and so the man made corruptions dominate the actions of the people.

I have requested you to give just three four examples with EVIDENCE.

              Like the word X
1Meaning at the time of revelation
              2Altered Meaning
              3Evidence

If you are cannot provide evidenc all of your article is just "BASELESS'

              Regards

you wish to disprove something then you should investigate for yourself, nothing is baseless until you yourself have a base to argue from, I will provide information for you to investigate, but a persons views are only baseless if that person has never established a firm foundation of reasoned understanding, or presented evidence to refute what I state, do not dismiss anything as baseless without your own base.

The problem with a person who has a fixed view, is they do not wish to accept another view, investigate their view, or investigate an alternative view, they just wish to believe they are correct blindly.

Sorry to say this makes no sense to me, what are you asking, what is word X, in relation to what, this is gibberish

                Like the word X
1Meaning at the time of revelation
                2Altered Meaning
                3Evidence

                  Br. Nur,

i think a clearer explanation of the difference between the words salaat and DaAA would be helpful, if not with single english words then a few would help to get the meaning across of how you understand salaat and DaAA.

                  Thanks.

Burden of proof is always on the one who claims. Your claim is about the distortion of the meanings. I am asking for Evidence.
So simple. If you are unable to provide the evidence /proof ,the all the building you have structured on this claim is BASELESS.

                      Salaam Q Student,

Unfortunately for you, or any other Muslim, the burden is not on me, the Qur?an directs each Muslim never to accept anything on faith, as you do, but to investigate and prove everything to yourself, I have present a view, I can provide information on questions asked, but the real burden is upon you, you seem to think it will effect me if you believe correctly or wrongly, it only effects you, so you must make every effort to establish the truth yourself.

I am expressing a view based on the evidence I have investigated, what is your present view based on?

                      Salaam Simple,

I do define Salat in the essay, but I define Dua in a separate essay, which I could add as a link with the essay.

Salat is your desire, or more exactly the closely following through of your desire, to perform the divinely-appointed purpose, which is defined as the objective within the context of the Qur?an (so the following of guidance closely), in practice this broadly means the establishment of a System that facilitates the following of Divine Commands (this being your driving desire if you are a true Muslim), it means, to understand your methods and be conscious of your intentions, it means, to carry out correct action without difficulty, or resentment, without seeking praise nor reward from anyone or power.

This is from the Dua, essay
                      http//servantofthelight.com/content/view/49/79/
Dua is the consequence of Salat (Salat is the intention) you establish your desire, you determine to follow through that desire and (Dua is the act) you seek to accomplish that desire, the wider result from that accomplishment is predetermined as to the conceptual outcome, the laws of the conscious energy (Allah), to invoke a result.

If you want to read the Dua essay heres the link

                        Salaam,

has no one any reasoned thoughts to improve, refute, or present an alternative view based on evidence and reason, on Salat?

Do you disagree with my stated view, do you agree, do you have any thoughts?

                          divinely-appointed purpose,

I think we need to know this - to realise what are

                          Divine Commands

then accept and follow a salaat or reject it.

So most people who are succesfull are doing this even without knowing the quran. peace

                            I DISAGREE!! P

i've talked a lot about it, i'm kinda tired, hehe, but it's there for everyone to see so there...

ok i'm not that impressed with the physical aspect you explained (as touching head to ground has things to do with electricity...), don't get me wrong, it's true, i agree on that, but that can be achieved many ways, but again i have to point out people who are physically unable or people who do it but don't do it right, all proves that whatever we're supposed to do is supposed to be mental first.
you don't need to touch a tree to get in some mind state. meditation can be performed many ways, it's the mental part that's important here because it's the part that drives the physical.

i think i kinda, sorta, maybe, believe, have a glimpse of what you may or may not be saying...

like i said, what you said is the truth... but it doesn't mean it must be done like that and only that or that it can't be achieved by other means

                                  Salaam Nerpsi,

I dare many things, but I don't mean to upset anyone, Salat is primarily the establishment of a purpose using the Qur'an alone as a general guide, and a desire to fulfil that purpose, based upon the establishment and application of reason, this reason is the aspect of connecting with the Earth twice a day, it is not in itself Salat, this is why I thought you had not understood the essay.

The most important thing is the development of reason, in the establishment of Salat, you can establish any method or technique you wish to build reason within the mind, but before you can form a Qur'anic purpose this development must be achieved.

I hope you have not taken offence, my words are often taken as insults, when they are not intended as such, Salaam.
