    Salam,

    When reading this verse, does it also define patience? Read the verse;

    3146 And many a prophet had a large number of Devotees fighting
    with him. They did not waver by what afflicted them in the
    cause of God, nor did they become weak, nor did they become
    discouraged; and God loves the patient ones.

    If this is the definition, then it's good. We can finally have one definition and it's from God.

    So patience would be;
    1.Not waver
    2.Not become weak
    3.Not become discouraged

    What do you think?

    Salam

      Minus the arrogance and over confidence such as
      I will do this, you'll see!
      or
      No one can stop me from doing this!

      Humility has to be added to 3146

      And when they went forth to (face) Jalut and his troops they said, "Our Lord! Pour on us patience and make firm our feet, and help us against the people (who are) disbelieving."250

      It is like being patient by asking Allah to be with us. I know this can be tough for all of us sometimes. During the stressful situation and when things don't work the way we want, faith in Allah can crack. It seems Prophets felt it also. Otherwise, of course, this prayer, "Pour upon us patience and cause us to die (as) Muslims" would have been added to verse 7126. We occasionally saw the crack on this forum.

      ps great topic!
